Final Lithuanian roster will be missing pretty much all decent players other than Alisauskas, D. Kumeliauskas and Bosas so we will actually have to fight really hard to avoid relegation.

great to see Rendulić coming back to play for the host nation. Hope a lot of fans will turn up.

Probably Great Britain should win the promotion and Romania will get relegated.
Lot of players missing in Romania and Lithuania squad.

Did british assitant coach say at 10:40 that Armalis signed with Medvescak ? Either he has some insider info or he is completely uninformed. Armalis signed with Sharks few days ago.

He said "he just signed with the Sharks". Also he obviously has quite a thick accent as every Brit does.

Don't know how does this work year after year but again, Lithuania and Estonia has similar roster on paper yet Estonia gets destroyed on the scoreboard, 6-2 after 2 periods with Bogdziul centering the Lithuania's first line, forwards playing D and half of the roster under 22

Why isn't he on the official roster then?http://stats.iihf.com/Hydra/537/IHM537000_33_1_0_CRO.pdf

I'm not sure if he's from the same family then. There's a 13-14 year old Trstenjak (croatian name right?) playing for one of the Austrian clubs in the Swiss system.

I am sure he is not from same family. Back in the days when I wrote for Sportske novosti (Sport newspapers) I made interveiw with Petar Trstenjak and I know he has two more brothers, never mentioned any Hubert.

But he could be croatian, this one played for KHL Zagreb four season ago...

Any official stream for the 1B group in Croatia by any chance?

Lithuania stomped Estonia 7-2 in the first game, surprised by that, they always seemed very close in talent. Maybe just a bad team game.

Ah so your comprehensive knowledge comes from journalism.

Looks like the one, plays for SC Rheintal which is one of the Austrian swiss feeders (Pikes Oberthurgau, EHC Lustenau being the others). Played in Mini A last year.

Well the bolded statement is absolutely ridiculous. Estonia has nowhere near the talent, at any level and Lithuanian 'A' team would blow them out of the water. We have 2 players with NHL contracts, their best player is playing in Mestis. Our last 4 WC results against Estonia is 5-2, 12-3, 6-1 and 7-2 and our top 2 players didn't play on any of those occasions.

Having said that, Estonia has more or less their A team this year and we are missing at least 10 players, including very best ones so such stomping was kind of unexpected. Then again, difference between Estonian and Lithuanian depth players is noticeable so it shouldn't be shocking, the roster situation the year we won 12-3 was very similar.

Nice game from britannia, think they'll get promotion. Croatia was good but not exactly on the same level. With the addition of Rendulic however, I'd say a medal is still possible for them.

To be honest, I was hockey fan long time before I started my short stint as (hockey) journalist. :)

More or less result as I expected. You can't start training camp for Division 1 10 days before tournament with few cronucks not even in the camp but joining two days before first game (:help:). Complete lack of chemistry in croatian lines... honestly, I think we will beat only Romania and Estonia and lose to Lithuania.

That's cool, anywho, best of luck to the latest Trstenjak. He's not necessarily lighting it up right now but hopefully down the road he can be a solid NT player.

Was rather impressed with GB against Croatia. Rode out the first ten minutes, and let the Croatians over-play the puck. Dowd turned back the years to 2012 in Ljubljana and truly led from the front.

Fingers crossed they're able to keep the momentum up, as without South Korea (typically a real bogey team apart from last year's freak result), and Lithuania being rather depleted, the team does have a very real chance of gaining promotion, especially as I feel we match up quite well against Ukraine (we did beat them in 2012 after all).
