Did the rest of the games had that many people watching it?

I have no idea, this is the first game I've gotten up to watch so far. Though I suspect that the numbers during the week are going to be a lot lower, and I would think the earlier games may also be lower due to the early start times in North America (7.00EST/4.00PST and 10.30/7.30 in the morning here, compared to 2.00/11.00 for the last game).

Reckon they'll ever say how many people watched?

I think with all the **** people tossed at them, no.

If the stream sold really really well, then I bet they would so they could justify the cost.

It's a ****** way to learn a lesson but hopefully it's a lesson learned nonetheless. I suppose we'll find out when the U18 tournament is held in Dumfries this coming year.

IIHF must have dropped the ball here. They should have been able to tell them that a youtube channel can stream videos and do a good job. A LOT easier and cheaper than setting up your own website :shakehead

we were when i wrote it lol and we had over all many more clear shots we missed (unbelievable) was it 3 1 on 1 with the goalie we missed alone? They had 1. our PP is much better but again we missed great passes.

We look pretty bad and yet we are dominating the Poles overwhelmingly.

Final game of Division IB underway. Japan and Great Britain fighting to avoid relegation. The British only need one point in the game to stay up, so as long as they don't lose in regulation they will be fine. But the Japanese have proven a tough team this tournament, losing every game by one goal, and often leading late into these games. Should be a close match.

It is good that our first game is against Poland, the chemistry needs to be improved..
I say it needs to be found in first place. As of now there's no chemistry at all. No movement in offensive zone from players without the puck.

This showing simply makes you realize that our heavy losses in WJC opening games is not a coincidence. Our preparation for tournaments is abysmal.

Don't be silly. We were "dominating" for first five minutes. And we are so dominat that SOG is 32-17 for Romania after two periods.:laugh:

lol well i wrote it after first five minutes :P lol jebote procitaj burki lol
and still we have so many clear chances to score. oh well lol. We do have small space passing problems, but i think its due to no camp or training before this championships.

Well, i suppose this is why we are playing in Division I. We might just have to accept the fact that we don't have as many talented players and are always going to be just about the relegation zone in WJC..

And this year, the preparation isn't any different..

Polska doesn't look too bad, just very disorganized on special teams.

They are not using the international ice for their advantage like Latvia is.

We are using the international ice to keep the possession where it doesn't matter.

Denmark just kept the puck along the boards too most of the time.. It's just a nature of the tournament, I guess. Remember there's a game tomorrow, everyone's just trying to save as much energy as possible.

On the unrelated note, that Abols character skates so smoothly for such a huge guy.. If Sprukts had his skating he would be a decent hockey player.

Two goals in the last minute gives Latvia the 5-0 win over Poland. Though I'd have to agree with some others here, Latvia didn't look too into the game; if they want to get promoted they are going to have to do better, as other teams are going to be a lot tougher than Poland.

Regarding Poland themselves, I didn't have much hope for them this year to begin with, and this game seems to confirm that. They are likely going to be relegated quickly, though I hope they will at least score a goal and provide some competition to their opponents.

Despite the score, our best player by a country mile was Merzlikins. He just oozed confidence and at times looked that we have six skaters on the ice. Good to see.

I think it was more about lacking skill than being disorganized. They made a lot of sloppy plays throughout the whole game and seemed to be unable to keep possesion..

Too bad that only you saw those chances. Romanians were all over us. It will be very very hard to beat Estonia, who didn't look that bad against Holland. Against Lithuania, Holland and Hungary we are going to be beaten by margine of 7-8 goals.

Against Hungary, maybe.. The rest are definitely not going to be blowouts.
