Pretty crappy performance by the USMNT yesterday.

I was double-watching that and the O's game and saw way too many chances given up. The score was more lopsided than the actual game owing to the stoppage time goals, one of which was a penalty.

That really seemed like an A team lineup that played like the B team.

Bored on a Friday night watching NCAA soccer. #5 Louisville on the second monitor in the background, up 1-0, VT ties it late 1st half, then 2nd half late with 5 minutes to go, scores to take the lead. 2-1 with :34 to go!

I still like Trossard on the left over Martinelli.

Martinelli doesn't make that deft cross to Jesus, nor does he drift to the middle for that feed from Saka. IMO

Trossard is much more aware and decisive. They sacrifice some speed on the wing but gain a lot of IQ and playmaking.

Oof, Rodri with a straight red. He will miss the Arsenal game, I believe.
Yeah it looks like he’ll miss the league cup game vs Newcastle in midweek, Wolves next weekend, and Arsenal the following weekend, all away. I guess Phillips will finally get a bit of a chance but who knows.
