Wondered what was up with this guy. He had promise. Hope he finds his game again at NF

Never understood him not going back to West Ham this summer. That half season loan spell there a couple years ago was by far the best he had ever played and completely righted his career. And they wanted him back this summer but for whatever reason he chose to go to Forest instead, I assume for money. Very short sighted decision IMO…

They barely stayed up last season and didn’t strengthen themselves over the summer so I’m not in any way surprised. Lampard certainly isn’t getting the most out of them but I don’t think there is much to get, especially going forward.
Such a cluster at the bottom of the table also…..so maybe they wait…

Setting aside the top five leagues in the world -- in England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain -- MLS had the most rostered players (36) of anywhere else. It was represented by more countries (12) than any league outside the top five and, for the first time in league history, it had a player on the winning team: Argentina's Thiago Almada (Atlanta United).

I’ll take ‘meaningless metrics’ for $1000 Alex…

Is it? Or does it say MLS, where mediocre players the world over come and make a reasonable wage and live a decent life?
Oh….I wasn’t aware those were all mediocre/retirees from other leagues….I figure you're on a WC roster, you‘re pretty decent, but that’s me.

Seems like the MLS is more of a development league now rather than a retirement league. I think it’s Minnesota that is making over $50M is transfer fees selling two players overseas this summer.

It’ll never be the Premier League and they’ll never have clubs worthy of playing in Europa or UCL but as other leagues get weaker they can close the gap as a development league while providing a good product for fans locally.

boom….when do they hire Reyna lol?
Seriously, they’ve brought down all of the US men’s team leadership. Let’s just get it over with and hire Gio’s mom to run the whole thing. Does he have a sister? Give her a role. Possibly an aunt or cousins…?
