I’m sorry…..who the F decided to not put one in the box there?! Gutless!

They‘re going to F up against Iran…..I feel it.

Solid performance. ENG clearly the better team but the Boys held their own and then some.

The Iran game is a must win for many reasons. Main one being it’s Iran. Can’t lose to them.

US wasn’t as good in the 2nd half but yeah 100% you take a draw going into that game so no complaints.
Agreed you take a draw heading into that game, but knowing how many corners the US generated (including that one sequence of like 4 in a row), it's frustrating that the US couldn't capitalize

That’s a team we should beat 99/100…..it will be pathetic on the highest level if we lose.
not really. cant get 99/100 at WC. they arent in a hurry, and I cant consider your team as strong one, not a contender in any way. historically that doesnt get you 99 out of 100. beware.

Id expect 50-50 odds. didnt watch US in a long time though.

You take the tie every day of the week, but the win was there for the taking.
I’m pretty conflicted to be honest. Overall we were the better and more dangerous team which is impressive against a side like England. McKinnie misses a sitter inside the box, Pulisic hits the crossbar… it was there for them. They doubled up England on shot attempts. Encouraging that they’ve played three really good halves so far. Sucks that they only have two points to show for it.

And I know I harp on Gregg but he’s just so mediocre. You make your first sub at 78’ and then two more attacking options at 83’? Again around 60-65’ they looked gassed and they needed their coach to do something. The commentators kept mentioning how hot and muggy it was yet he keeps his fresh legs on the bench when their pressure was working and removing the link up play for England. England really only got a sniff when the US couldn’t push forward any more.

We are not dangerous up top AT All. Midfield played great. They waited too long to make subs. GB‘s job will likely rely on getting a win. I’d figure out a way to get Gio and Aaronson in earlier. CB’s are shakey. Goalie was great….

Iran will park the F out of the bus. We will have to score 2 IMO.

To the late sub thing, Aaronson was waiting for like 10 mins for a whistle, but still, I’d have had him and Gio in at the 55-60 min mark.

Our best have to deliver….so far we’re treading water.

Sure but England had their chances also. It isn’t like it was one way traffic and we just couldn’t put one in. That set piece that Kane got on the end of towards the end I was watching through my fingers.

I just don't understand the final play. Why not go for it? Why make offensive subs that late and then stall?

Maybe when GB was telling them to stall they misunderstood and thought he meant the play, not waiting to actually initiate the kick, which was taken kind of quickly.

If they'd won then a tie would still be good enough vs Iran, right?

probably afraid of England countering from the set piece and the ref adding even more extra time. nothing else makes sense

But why, though? Loss or tie still means they need to beat Iran. Gaining a win and 3pts bring a tie vs Iran into the picture. They should've been going all out for the win.
