Biggest game for ARS in like 5yrs and they're playing as if this is a scrimmage

Pathetic effort. Credit to NEW but that was not the same level of play from ARS we saw just a few weeks ago.

Ben White is overrated. Tomiyasu is good but always hurt. Partey also perpetually out of the lineup. Tavares and Elneny seem to be JAGs. Xhaka is a bonehead. Cedric is somewhere below Xhaka's level of boneheadedness. Gabriel makes way too many mistakes. Holding should never play for ARS again (out today on suspension).

Odegaard and Saka are keepers. Nketiah maybe. Smith-Rowe has fallen off drastically but hopefully can rebound. Same with Martinelli who has flashes of danger but too often just goes nowhere.

Lacazette likely has a foot out the door. Pepe is a baffling waste of money.

ARS need a big shakeup. Again.

If they fail to make the CL I won't be at all surprised. They don't look to be at that level.

Arsenal was the youngest team in the league this season. Being in the champions league race this late was a reasonable amount more than they had expected IMO. Losing the 4th spot to Spuds definitely stings but they have so many more of their top players in their prime so it isn’t unexpected and Conte is a much more proven manager.

Wow. I know he’s getting older but figured he’d still want to play Champions League soccer for a few more years. So this next season is his last hurrah in Europe? End of an era. Would be hilarious if Ronaldo came over at the same time.
I saw Cruyff play for the Dips back in the day. It was pretty darn cool.

“Absolutely pathetic. Why the hell did we give Arteta a contract before the season even finished? This will be his 12th League loss of the season, after spending £250m in 2yrs. That would normally get an Arsenal manager the sack not a bloody new deal.”

“I’ve been calling him out all season. He’s not good enough to be Arsenal manager, we should have gone for Conte when we had the chance.”

This is going to sound utterly insane, but how about Lewandowski to Arsenal if the Gunners can secure the CL bid on Sunday?

Would fit their biggest need for sure.

They don't seem willing to get into bidding wars for the big ticket players right now. There's rumblings about Marquinhos coming in and I'm guessing he's depth for Saka or Martinelli, or maybe a Pepe replacement. They need to do something with Pepe, ffs.

But they don't have a strong striker up the middle. Nketiah has potential but probably isn't going to carry you through the CL or even Europa.

They'll probably settle for Gabriel Jesus who isn't bad and is probably underutilized in MC, or maybe catch Lukaku on the rebound or something... but holy shit, Lewandowski would instantly vault them into serious contention without having to fiddle with half a dozen other pieces.

It would be a great signing.

But i can't see it. Lewandowski wants another title and his preferred destination is Spain.

At least there was 2018.

District of Champions
Mbappe to Real Madrid expected to be official any day now; he's already agreed to personal terms, according to ESPN and The Athletic (among others). Messi leaving shortly too and no doubt Neymar will be gone to the next greener pasture. Pretty disappointing run given they were all-in on a CL title with all that money spent.

I think the real travesty is all of the no-talent nerds who switched from Barca to PSG in FIFA and now have to switch their new favorite team again to Real next year. Can't wait to play 80% of the games online against the same team like I do this year against PSG.

From bad to worse for Everton. Already down 0-1 and Ayew launches a brutal flying tackle into Gordon's knees. Clear red card but only receives yellow. Minutes later Ayew scores CP's 2nd.

Everton circling the drain.

Great comeback from Everton today and they will be playing Premier League football again next season…
