No one takes anything Rob Brown says seriously.Even Rob Brown is calling out their lackadaisical showing in pre-season, leading to this dreck.

Yeah that’s probably it, just an insanely streaky guy, kinda like Osgood.
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Live by the 16 game win streak, die by the 2-9-1.
Scoring chances don’t matter if the shots are muffins directed straight into the goalie’s chest.
Not enough balls in our front office to do any cap f***ery that all the top teams do regularly. Why mess up with the recipe that got you to the Stanley Cup final, I guess?
I dunno, teams old they might be exhausted by JanHey guys, it's not 8-1....yet. Baby Steps
I knew these guys would shit the bed to start the season, it's just what they do. Wake me up in January when they're ready to play real hockey.
Kulak-Emberson needs to be the second pairing and Nurse-Stecher the third.Put Stecher in there, and drop Emberson to play with Kulak, and send Dermott home.
Knob going with familiarity vs who has been better. Stetcher should be with NurseNurse and Emberson got pinned on the ice for a long time. That pairing cannot continue.

When the other teams players look like they are laughing in disbelief about scoring it usually is the goalie.Maybe all 3 goalies suck?
Interesting note about Talbot, when he struggled after coming under the tutelage of Schwartz, he started contacting Allaire to get him back on track.I disagree with that. I think management has taken goaltending EXTREMELY seriously but has let taking it so seriously lead to some terrible decision making.
Like the trade Chiarelli made for Talbot back in 2015 was once talked about being so lopsided that the mains were saying how that was Sather (who was NYR’s GM) did us a favour before he retired.
Then Chiarelli makes a dreadful decision about goaltending when Talbot struggles on a terrible Oilers team. That leads to the Koskinen contract which handcuffs us to lower AAV goalies until that contract is gone.
If we were being serious the biggest misstep is Holland not going after Ullmark duing the UFA period where we signed Hyman. I’m not sure if the cap numbers would’ve worked out but I would have done a lot differently if I knew what Ullmark did between 2021 and 2024.
A Ullmark-Skinner tandem would be top 5 in the league.
That’s the only time when goaltending was disregarded.
Well Nurse can't hide behind Ceci anymore.People said that about Ceci and him every game. I would give it a few games.
Nurse on the third pairing is a hell of a look.Kulak-Emberson needs to be the second pairing and Nurse-Stecher the third.

Honestly I take Emberson out for stetcher next game. He's having some struggles processing quickly enoughKulak-Emberson needs to be the second pairing and Nurse-Stecher the third.

you mean you can't just "flip the switch"?Even Rob Brown is calling out their lackadaisical showing in pre-season, leading to this dreck.
“Get lost dude”But what if Nurse is offended by being a 3rd pair D and demands a trade?
It's the 2018 Chiarelli method of "fix it later".Accumulating cap space means shit if you plan to ice this defence until TDL.
