Yeah. That period was just like preseason. Team still not defending, team still not scoring, and Drai line getting nothing. Team looks old and slow.

McDavids line was our worst line. They looked like they did in their first preseason game.

Hope it's just nerves, but Emberson looks worse at handling the puck than Ceci ever did Nurse still in high risk/low reward mode though, he just makes everything into a fire drill with his decision making

Yeah. Its a no brainer especially considering the speed deficit of the team. Stecher adds pace back there and one of our fastest players.

It’s shored up. We’re not getting anyone better anytime soon.

I can’t think of anyone that’s willing to trade a goalie of note.

It only matters in that they were once again dicking around as years past, which is also on the coach. Rookie shit preseason camp wasting time figuring out the 14th forward and 7th D instead of building some chemistry

Doesn’t matter. They should be ready and they aren’t. JUST like last year. Now they most likely learned their lesson from last year. Let’s hope the rest of the game is better.

I think if they post a positive record in the first ten games it will be a success. It's better to roll into the long season slowly, then come in firing at all cylinders only to get out of steam by Christmas.

I'll give Emberson some rope, he's 30 games into his NHL career. Dermott should have had positioning on Lowry on the first goal and most definitely should have had the stick covered or tied up. Nurse with his low IQ is forcing plays again, going for a big hit when it's better to just maintain coverage, and top line getting hemmed in.

Second goal wasn’t on Emberson. He had to defend a two on one because Nurse was out of position on his man.

Did you see the space and time Emberson have the guy ? He literally stood beside the shooter and goaltender. That's ECHL defending under fire
