I really still want to keep Boyle.

I'm not convinced we trade him. I said it before, but it wouldn't shock me at all if we asked if he wanted to be traded and if he said no, we just didn't do it. With the health issues of his son, I think he'd only be willing to go to a couple of teams in any sort of trade, and I think we as an organization would respect his personal situation.

that was 3 really bad plays by bratt. the missed pass to a wide open zacha in front of the net. the turnover on the far boards on the PP. Then the awful and soft giveaway on the near boards.

I give you guys credit for tuning back in. It was so nice to get an extended break from the horribleness that is this team, that I honestly don’t want it to end lol. After so many days without a game, you totally realize how much of a chore it’s been watching them this season.

Well it is Devils-Penguins. It's the inverse of what Thrashers-Devils used to be when we were good, they were **** and they still frequently kicked the **** out of us.

Nooooo..... dont be suckered. He's an aging player pacing for a career year.

It's an aberration partly based on how terrible the Devils are (i.e. they actually play him a lot, even on the PP).

No I know, it's logical to trade him. I'm biased, followed him from his BC days and have always loved him and think he is important for the locker room.

But we would likely get a bigger haul than expected for him given how he's performed.

That doesnt make sense.

Boyle is an UFA & could just sign with NJ after the season if the team still wants him. He'd only be "away" from his son for 2 to 3.5 months at most.

WEAK left board pinch by mojo before this commercial break….

……jetsam him for something
He had a goal last game, but he's in another one of his patented streaks where he barely produces, which he's been famous for this year.

I'm afraid of him having another one of his 5 points in 22 game streaks or whatever before the deadline. I think he's got one point in his last 7 or 8 right now.
