He was a free asset who scores 15-18 goals a year as a 3rd/4th line guy and is tied for 3rd on the team in goals. I will repeat. I don't understand the hate this guy gets so much hate.

Because his hockey IQ is suspect, and he can’t pass. And those are two of the three attributes I value the most (skating is the third). Sure, he scores goals, but he can’t create offense himself. He needs good players around him. And as Vinny said, players not good at hockey have scored 20 goals in a season before, like David Clarkson.

Also, that post wasn’t me hating on him. Just pointing out that he sucks at passing. Am I wrong? I don’t hate the guy. I just tell it like it is. Is he a bad player? No. Is he anything special? No. He’s just a solid bottom 6 guy, but people treat him like he’s better than that. Just because he got a couple points.

I went over this with Fast. I said he was overrated. Was I wrong?

Can't criticize the rangers here. They are sitting 2 of their best forwards. The devils had one of the worst performances in a period that I have ever seen in 26 years of watching hockey.
