This team needs a Zubrus in the worst way. A Parise too for that matter, I feel like we’re allergic to greasy goals. Hopefully Mercer develops that part of his game more than he’s shown this year.

I maintain that a forward corps made up entirely of 12 Zubruses (Zubri?) would be an unstoppable juggernaut in the playoffs.

The most likely outcome is that neither of these things happen.

Sometimes players just walk away. At least we have 2nd round pick for Yegor. Close to real price of his previous season. Not so great, but he is in better place for him. He is the same player but better version of what he is, still free agent after next season, so mistly - he would have less production here, would made lesser impact. And would achieve less money. Can we turn the page already?

About as easy as its going to get these next 6 games. If they can go 4-1-1 (9 points minimum or better) THEN they will have drawn me back in and make me a believer.

They cannot lose to ARI, PIT or OTT, that should be 6 guranteed points.

We probably don't have the horses to get a winning streak out the way with Siegs dead, Marino banged up, Jack playing with one arm, never mind they probably still have morale issues.

Allen and Kappo would have to drag them there kicking and screaming

Picking top 10 was never likely either so its better they just win as much as they can.

The Caps exist. They have 1 more point than us, while having a game in hand, so we have to jump over them too.

The Caps aren’t setting the world on fire either, and we currently win the regulation win tie-breaker, but we got to pass them too.

This is where SOS starts to matter. The good news is the Caps have it tough, the bad news is the Isles don’t.

It's worth pointing out part of the reason the Isles schedule is considered easy is because they play us twice.

My money is on the goalies.

It was fantastic decision to save two potential top goalies from the bottomless pit and try to save the season. It shows a trust to the team also, which should fire them up bit more.

It's worth pointing out part of the reason the Isles schedule is considered easy is because they play us twice.

Pretty sure this team will play a good game vs. the isles.

Looking forward to the remaining schedule, to be honest.

Devils play Pitts and we have good looking game against them last few seasons.

Devils haven't been awful with Philly either. Chances to get some really huge divisional points

If he was shooting his already high career shooting percentage on his paltry 144 shots this season, he’d have 18 goals. Surely he’ll be a 20% shooter going forward.
