I remember sitting in my trigonometry class and seeing the noti that Kovy was out on my phone and basically texting my brother that the season was over because they were already down 1-0 to Philly, 2-0 would've been really bad but they somehow came through. To be fair, they manhandled the Flyers from start to finish in that series. Kinda reminds me of us last year where the Flyers had that really emotional series versus Pittsburgh and then the Devils just ran them over like Carolina did to us. Flyers just had no response for that NJD team in that series.

Went down a rabbit hole of 2012 highlights, besides the 2 Henrique OT goals, this is still the greatest powerplay I've ever seen in my life.

One of my favorite all-time NJ goals. Everyone touched that puck. I had the angle in section 5. It was glorious.

Can’t change it until March 16, glad to eat crow. Will be updating to “Fire Fitz” or “Josh Reynolds is a coward”

That username never made any sense to me because of Timo’s signing bonuses.

I mean, this is what you want? This is bad.

And yes, that’s the first thing I thought when I first saw it and it’s the first thing I think of whenever I see it. (I’m practical like that.)

Henrique was waived 🤣🤣🤣 he played 7 years for the Ducks ... Vatanen was the one that was waived. He played 3 years for us waived and picked up by the Stars ... smh

Also we got Daniil Misyul with the 2019 3rd we got from the Ducks in the Henrique trade, and Nico Daws from the 3rd we got from Carolina in 2020 TDL Vatanen trade, so that trade tree is still alive on our end.

Henrique’s current contract made no sense for our team at the time.

Much like Coleman’s didn’t.

Henrique was 29 when this contract started.

We could have fit it in the first few years or it when we weren’t a cap team, but why would we have bothered?

Coleman deserved to leave, he left and won two Cups. You have to be a complete weirdo to think we should have kept him chained in the basement longer instead of getting that massive return for him.

If we didn’t trade Coleman in 2020, we would’ve most likely had to trade him for a worse return at the next TDL because you have to assume he would’ve wanted to test the UFA market.

I think we made an offer to Coleman when he was a UFA, but I’m not sure.

When we were at Heathrow last summer my youngest couldn’t find a Yorkie anywhere in the airport and he had to settle for a Cadbury which wasn’t as exotic since you ca. get them in the US easily.

I care about one British candy, the best one:

These are basically giant M&Ms with higher end chocolate and I can blow through a bag impossibly fast.

I bet this could have crossover success in the states if it wasn’t for that unfortunate name. (Which is very unfortunate, woof.)

(British chocolate) Smarties are basically very colorful, poison M&M, never got the appeal, but you see those over here way more than Minstrels (*sob* miss you).

(Aero bars and Galaxy Ripple are good too.)

We would ruin them, and put in unnecessary unhealthy ingredients.

In Europe I guess they think of medieval minstrels like the ones that got eaten in Holy Grail?

What would you guys think about targeting Brossoit in free agency? He’s been playing unreal for the Jets

He’s 30 and has never played more than 24 games in a season and while he was good during the last regular season for Vegas he was meh in the playoffs. Not sure that he’s the established guy the team wants to add. He is playing well and he has the measurables teams want in a goalie.

Yes, I don’t really care that much that a British candy is called Minstrels, because they have a tradition of medieval guys in tights with lutes singing about Brave Sir Robin.

I was talking about marketing it in the US, where there’s a very different music tradition associated with that word, and it involves blackface.

But god damn, Minstrels are like crack, I burn through a bag like it’s a fuse. Easily my favorite candy. I’m really better off they don’t sell it here and I’m better off that our domestic chocolate basically blows.
