Yep, game in Toronto during short road trip at the end of this month and then a b2b w/ Leafs is our 4th & 3rd last game.

I'll be there later this month! Hopefully we're not out of it by then and the game actually matters

Can’t change it until March 16, glad to eat crow. Will be updating to “Fire Fitz” or “Josh Reynolds is a coward”
I admit I enjoyed being reminded of Barry Tallackson every so often, who looks like he had a pretty nasty career in the DEL

We have the ability to go on a run but at the same time, I said this when it was suggested Buffalo was gonna get in the other day, how many teams that have 30 regulation losses by game 64 have went on to make the playoffs since this has been a 30 team league? I'm not even sure, but it can't be too many.

Florida barely made it in last year and had a heroic run and even they didn't get their 30th regulation loss until game number 73.

Yes, this team has the ability to make a run, but it's also shown a strong ability this season to come up short and lose to shit hole teams like Arizona.

We SHOULD win these next two games, or at least tomorrow for f***s sake. Probably even the next 3 games. Arizona is worthless and I think a bottom 5 team in the league at this point? Vegas are injured and don't seem to win very much at all lately. Pittsburgh is another free faller.

I took it upon myself to look up some of the lowly teams to make the playoffs that I could think of.

The 2009-2010, 88 point playoff making Flyers got regulation loss number 30 in game 72 of the 09-10 season. They had 35 regulation losses and got into the playoffs with 88 points. That may have been the last time a playoff making team in the East had under 90 points. I know it's happened in the West a few times since.

And that year's Flyers were actually the 7th seed. The 8th seed were the Canadiens (who they beat in the ECF lol) who also had 88 points. Regulation loss came in game 73 for them. They finished with 33 regulation losses and 88 points and made it into the playoffs as an 8th seed.

I'm not sure there's many examples of a playoff making team having regulation loss number 30 by game 64 (like Buffalo) or game 65 like us.

It probably happened a ton way back in the day and maybe even in the 26-28 team NHL, but I'm not sure if it's ever even happened in the 30 or more team NHL.

I'd like to know if it actually has been done?

I can’t believe we traded Sharangovich for a 15 year old.

Don’t look up his stats unless you want to be depressed

yeah, someone with the username Buy Out Timo has never made irrational statements or decisions!

It's the same as trading Henrique for Vatanan who was always hurt it seemed.

what lol no it wasnt?

Vatanen played as a top pairing DMan for us, and helped guide us to a playoff berth. Its not even remotely the same type of situation.

How long did he last? Henrique is still am effective player.

Realizing Tallackson is 40-years-old is a real stop and smell the roses moment. Jeez, where does the time go.
