My post was said in jest due to the comical state of things
Of course, what did I think about.
Devils are going to be a literal stepping-stone with teams just stepping on them like they're part of the background on their way to the next game.
I believe they are not in a good mood as fans. A lot of things didn’t went well, a lot of players should not be happy with their game and results, but bad mood with continuing bad results doesn’t help to turn the corner. And now it looks like it’s too late. I think it was when we lost to tampa.

I would trade everybody I can trade - Smith, Toffoli, Muller. May be Bahl or Siegenthaler. And not sign Nosek. We need to change the roster, change the way they play, Toffoli was slow, Nosek was slow, Hattaka deserved a roster spot over Smith, Misyul deserved to play his first game, Bahl isn’t mobile on a short distance, isn’t smart for positional tasks. Muller was good, I’m not against for his sign. But this team needs more faster, defensively better players, who can forecheck in all three zones. They are not there now, there were a lot of teams, who shot down our game and they couldn’t find the answer. And sometimes without speed and forecheck devils were not ready to continue offense if they lose the puck.
I don’t know what Fitz will do, but I hope he will understand why this team doesn’t play the same style as a team previous year.

Because now they can’t to win against Ducks, they can’t score enough against Ducks. And it’s not about ruff only, some players just can’t play together.

What’s crazy is, Flyers and Bolts may lose again tonight lmao if that happens we are so back

GMs usually don’t speak at random moments unless big moves are announced.

If nothing else happens, Fitz will talk at the exit interviews, as is customary. If a big move/decision is made, he’ll most likely talk as well.

Also, podcast hosts don’t want to talk to GMs whose teams are struggling.

I don’t get all the fuss around this.

I think a “state of the union” presser by Fitz is due this season. Shero and Lou had those during tough times.

Agreed.

If he's going to take a big swing at a Goaltender RIGHT NOW at this moment, Saros should be the one he should swing for but Markstrom would be the more realistic at this point.

Otherwise, just do nothing and go after Ullmark in the offseason.
Considering Nashville's on an eight-game bender, Saros isn't realistically on the market this year.

Letting Andrew Brunette go will be the single biggest mistake Fitz will have made in his tenure
I'm still waiting to see how they do in the playoffs before I get all fatalistic. Nashville was basically a .500 team before this recent winning streak and is still just a wild card playoff team, which is in line with what they've done for two decades.

I will say this

The timo haters are very quiet
Yes he is playing better and it is great to see. The thing is we need this more consistently for the price tag he has. It's pretty simple. Play better and the Devils are a better team that will win games. We need some jam and size in the top 6 and he brings that but unfortunately he doesn't do that enough. He has the build to play that game while guys like Hughes & Bratt are built for more speed and finesse. We need that blend of playing styles for this team to play to the level they can/should be.

They were a bubble team coming into the year and they'll comfortably make it at this rate, also they were literally people mocking him here after the Devils beat them a couple of weeks ago so

Ruff is also finally playing him on the top 6, and it’s obvious Timo is going up the right boards more on that line while Bratt goes to LW in certain situations

Aaaand it’s gone.

Honestly good, they have no one except themselves to blame.

Not sure he can be a top 6 guy anymore. A fast bottom 6 guy who can pot 15-20 would do wonders for our 3rd line.

Reason why he wasn't in the top 6 in Boston was because Boston was utterly loaded there, he's still prob a top 6 player in this league on most good teams granted his ACL isn't shambles post recovery.

They deserved to be mocked for losing to us at this point!
