Nico,Bratt,Seigs,Tatar an Timo are in Tulum together, Tatar's wife posted a picture of all of them together.

Bratt isnt with them, hes somewhere else

Haula is also vacationing in that spot that Tatar and company are at.

Bratt is vacationing alone with his girlfriend!? I'm shocked there isn't mass hysteria here that he isn't with his teammates.

Actually Meier was brought in to help with upcoming rumble with the Devils Swedish Mafia.

The Swedes blame the Swiss for the continuing focus on Swiss trade targets, first Fiala, now Meier, instead of Swedish ones.

The Swedish Mafia in fact started the Mattias Ekholm rumor themselves, hoping Fitz would become genuinely interested in acquiring Ekholm when he learned how tall he is.

They were however shocked to learn that Haula has thrown in with the Swiss.

The Czechs remain “neutral” but that’s actually just a ruse. They’re merely laying wait until the Swiss and Swedes are both left weakened and then they’ll make their big push for Pasternak.

Well, that sucks. DUIs are no joke, but I'm interested to hear the details of how bad we're talking before I judge him. Was he just over the limit, or blackout and swerving or something?

I doubt they'll cut him loose entirely for this, but I have a feeling he will be away from the team for "personal reasons" for a little while now.
I agree with this. I mean, everytime I’ve driven home after a date with my wife I technically drink and drive, but we’re talking like 1 cocktail and 1 glass of wine over the course of 2 hours.

If he was clearly drunk, then that’s another story.

From an article about the incident

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Former Florida Panthers head coach Andrew Brunette was arrested in South Florida for driving under the influence.

It happened on Wednesday in Broward County.

Deputies took Brunette into custody on multiple charges including DUI and disobey of a stop of yield sign.

He was taken to the Broward Main Jail.

This isn’t the first time over the past few years Brunette has had a traffic infraction in Broward County.

Records show Brunette had previous cases, both for speeding-related infractions.

In May of 2022 he pled guilty for going 58 mph in a 40 mph zone and paid a $260 fine, and in February of 2021 he was stopped for allegedly going 27 mph in a school zone, but that case was eventually dismissed.

Both incidents occurred in the area of Deerfield Beach, which is where he was arrested for the DUI.

Multiple charges doesn’t sound great tbh

So sounds like he just went through a yield, got stopped and was over the limit. Again, see what the details are and then go from there but for the next week or so he’s gotta be away from the team id imagine.
What f'ing cop stopped him for going 27 in a 25..............

If Brunette wants to get help, then he should stay so the Devils can give him their resources. Some guys are able to help themselves and get better. He should request an indefinite leave of absence to get his act together and the Devils should grant it to him.

If this is a pattern and he's done this before, or if he thinks he doesn't have a problem, or if he's otherwise uninterested in getting help then he needs to be gone. This is unacceptable and there is no excuses, he needs to be better.

Everyone here is so quick to the big dramatic with Brunette. What are the rules in Florida?

Here in Nova Scotia we have 0 tolerance. So if you blow anything you get a DUI. You could have one beer 4 hours ago and get one.

Sounds like he rolled through a yield sign, got pulled and breathalyzed.

I don't think that means he is an alcoholic and needs to go to rehab.

When it was clear that Lou was keeping that pick and deferring the penalty to the next year, it was so baffling that I was SURE Lou had some crazy intricate plan to pull something out of his ass. But nope, it was as bad as it looked, and with hindsight, even worse than that. Just an unforgivable move. That really marked the beginning of the end for Lou.
It could have been because he was fighting the fine in court. Granted using the pick in hand is very Lou, so it’s hard to say. (And I believe this has been discussed before lol.)

School zone doesn’t automatically mean 25 MPH - could be 15 or 20, it is Florida so who knows

Hard not to be judgemental on a DUI, especially with that mugshot sheesh, dude looks disheveled

I'm not saying don't be judgemental, I'm just saying that "hope he gets the help he needs" might be a bit over the top without any knowledge of what happened.

Yes, I guess in Lou’s defense he actually did fight get that 30th OA pick in 2014 instead of none at all…but regardless, it still ended up being an atrocious game plan

No here makes decisions about Brunette’s job but this could affect his, it happens.

I would love it to not be a big deal but I’m a bit concerned.

Could it have been an isolated and selfish mistake? Sure.

But I think Florida choosing not retain him after being a Jack Adams finalist, and now this incident…it doesn’t seem outlandish to maybe start to wonder if he actually has a problem.

Well whatever the case let’s just hope it’s an isolated incident and he wasn’t being a serious danger to others or himself.

Ok, that’s a bit overboard.

I dunno, if helping people with such issues is who you want to be, then I think you help the guy no matter how drunk he was.
I'm not saying wipe your hands of the issue, but if he has a problem the organization can take steps to get him help without keeping him behind the bench.

As of now, I don't have any idea if he has a problem or not. But even if this is an isolated incident, there's a difference in how easy it is to forgive between if he had two cocktails at dinner and then drove home or if he was slurring his speech and had no clue what planet he was on.
