So if he was completely exonerated he’s dead to you?
Not gonna lie...If he gets completely exonerated, I would be shocked.

But I'm going to say (going out on a slight limb here) he, at the very least, knew what was going on if (big IF) he didn't participate.

So I don't believe he will escape this unscathed.

All that said, to answer your question : He's been on life support to me for awhile now due to him being so close-to-useless on this team.

This would put the nail on the proverbial coffin as far as I'm concerned.

I am skeptical of McLeod’s innocence and once due process is complete he can be dealt with accordingly. I just can’t support the rush to judgment even if it ultimately is correct.

There's also a lot more guys who choose to go elsewhere which was my point. Sure NY had to pay a lot for Panarin but he wanted to go there, Tavares wanted to go there, Gaudreau apparently wanted to go to Columbus if we're to believe his words. NJ is probably in the bottom 10 in the league in terms of desired locations.
Wouldn’t go as far as saying NJ is bottom 10 in the league for attracting ufas. I’d say it’s right about the middle. NJ had to overpay for Hamilton but he was probably going to any team that would pay him 9.5. NJ didn’t overpay for palat but did give him more term than other teams might have been offering because NJ had to get him, he was Fitz’s guy after losing out on JG.

JG didn’t want to sign in NJ probably the same way Dano wouldn’t want to sign with the NYR no matter how much they would pay him. He grew up a flyers fan so he hates the devils but obviously doesn’t mind Columbus.

Kadri rejected a trade to Calgary earlier in his career before being traded to the avalanche and now he signed with Calgary 7x7.

Rangers still overpaid for Panarin even tho he wanted to sign in NY

So Luke hasn’t been skating since he was injured at worlds. Quinn said he might be skating this up coming week.

They had the USNT has the best trainers tho. No bone was sticking out or anything.

Connor Earegood, who covers hockey at U Mich, posted this video earlier. Luke looks just fine, as expected! Looks like he’ll be good to go! :D

Mcleod sucks and we should ditch him regardless of off ice concerns.
I think he’s okay, but he is a busted first round pick and that also makes him look worse than he actually is. His ability to go on ridiculous goal less streaks (he’s already on his second of 30+ games and third of at least 25 games) is also truly astonishing.

He’s not a bad 4th line center, but he’s also not a player we need to be signing for multiple seasons next year (assuming he’s cleared in the scandal) or for multiple millions of dollars either. I don’t see him as a long term piece here and he really shouldn’t be.

Agree with you, despite being a first round bust, he's perfectly fine as a #4C or, in the worst case scenario, 13th or 14th forward.

Not sure why people posted PK's retirement in the Around The League thread, the guy retired having last been a member of this team. I was hoping to see him get a shot on a contender as a 3rd pairing guy but maybe PK didn't want to fight for playing time. He never complained about having his ice time cut this season, just took it and played his game. Won't forget him going after Wahlstrom after that hit on Hughes.

Not surprised frankly, no one wants a player that skates like PK does in 2023 on their backend, and if they do he's getting something like Mark Giordano's deal. PK maybe got an offer like that and decided it wasn't worth it, who knows.

Wish PK had a better stint here, he was electric in Montreal and Nashville. Injuries and just the league getting faster and faster I guess severely limited his effectiveness. Oh well great career overall with a rough final stretch.

Pretty shocked PK is retiring, thought he had some game left.
Not entirely shocked…if the league is telling you it’s PTO or cheap one year deal at best and you have a likely lucrative career in the media waiting why bother?

PK’s back seems wrecked to me, so better to stop abusing it than take a low salary.

I hope he enjoys wherever he lands post playing. Seems like a natural to be the player who also brings the lighter side to a studio show.

Yeah, pretty confident that PK could have gotten a contract somewhere, but he probably has multiple offers large money offers to do media. He’s an absolute natural too. I bet he’s keeping his home base as NYC too, he seems to love it there. I’d love him on Devils broadcasts somehow, but I bet he’s going to be doing national broadcasts.

Loved having PK here. I know we all had higher expectations, but I think he got a bad rap here more than anything. While not the player he was in his prime, he certainly still played at a capable level more often than not. Took care of the kids in the locker room and never complained as his role was reduced.

Would love to see him come back around the Rock every once in a while. Could see him sticking around in NYC if he will commit to ESPN full time since they're based in Connecticut.
