He's in danger of being crushed by dwarfs?someone could piss right into zacha's bowl of cornflakes as he was eating it and he would turn and skate away and not care.

Why in the world are we trying to trade Holtz after we've already invested 2 years into his development and he is NHL ready? Trading a draft pick is one thing, but he should be NHL ready next year. He is coming off a productive year as well so this makes no sense.
Keep Holtz and our 2nd pick. We have the opportunity to have an elite team in a few years with having all this young talent on the roster but several potential players on ELC's. Make the right short-term additions, and this team can be elite.
Dat top 9 wit Bedard tho! LolIt's not do or die next year. They have to be in the hunt, but if they fall short as 9th in the conference, Fitz won't be fired.
Back in 2016 he did not want to play for Ruff. So I am guessing the Devils may not be on his wish list at allWhat would you offer nichushkin if he gets to UFA? We are probably low on his wish list and would have to overpay to get him to come to nj and I’m sure he will get lots of offers.
You really think Harris and Blitzer give two s--ts about what Fitz is or isn't doing as GM of the Devils right now? It's do or die for playoffs or else the front office is gone next offseason. That's more what I mean...
I'm also not putting Holtz in the Top 6 in October, maybe March if he's earned. Don't underestimate Mercer.
Don't forget Chelsea. But frankly I'd rather have owners that just write the checks than overly meddlesome creeps. You really think Harris and Blitzer give two s--ts about what Fitz is or isn't doing as GM of the Devils right now?
They're more concerned with buying the friggin' Denver Broncos than the NJ Devils right now.
Oh me, too.Don't forget Chelsea. But frankly I'd rather have owners that just write the checks than overly meddlesome creeps.
It’s going to take me a bit!Holtz straight up for a time machine which could take us back to 1993, where we could grab 21 year old Marty Brodeur and bring him back to the present.
My mom never allowed me to wear my skates at the breakfast table. Lucky son of…someone could piss right into zacha's bowl of cornflakes as he was eating it and he would turn and skate away and not care.

Dammit! Seeing the replies all you see is “signing alert”!! I thought it was for Jesper!!Guess we can rule out drafting Jiricek or Nemec now
Time for Bratt's agent to troll us again with a post that he and Jesper are talking businessDammit! Seeing the replies all you see is “signing alert”!! I thought it was for Jesper!!
Ya in late OctoberTime for Bratt's agent to troll us again with a post that he and Jesper are talking business
What has led you to believe that Alex Holtz is NHL ready next year aside from hype?
Nobody is questioning whether he’s a high end prospect, but the fact that you “invested 2 years developing him” isn’t a reason to make him untouchable. I think a lot of fans severely overrate Alex Holtz. He should be 100% moveable in the right deal. He’s not a can’t miss no-brainer prospect and he can bring a lot of value back.
Again, it has to be in the right deal for an elite piece back.
Holtz isn't untouchable, but I doubt management would let him go without giving him another shot to play his way into our top 6. Holtz is rightly rated highly because of how he has played at the AHL level, and we'll want to see if that translates. It hasn't yet, given how lost he looked in his NHL call ups this season, but think he will at least get a chance to play his way onto the roster in camp.
If, at that time, he is clearly getting passed on the depth chart by our existing wingers or anybody we might draft, sign or trade for this summer, then you look to move him as part of a package for an upgrade at another position of need. But not before.
The kid is still 7 months away from being able to drink legally in the states. This isn’t Zacha we’re talking about. Don’t dismiss the Covid effect on a lot of these guys and losing prime developmental time. He possesses a trait with his shot that this team sorely needs and he should be given a long leash to prove himself.Nah, this is bad. I don't think the Devils should looking to move Holtz, but the time to trade him is now. If he starts to stumble next year and spends significant time in the AHL, his value has already decreased big-time. A guy theoretically unable to crack the roster of a rebuilding team after having that kind of season in the minors, there's big red flags there.

but if he was 4 inches shorter he'd be really small. Right or wrong?Holtz is 6’0” and 192 at age 20, I don’t see his size as a problem for a scoring winger.
