Habs fan coming in peace. Sorry for all of those terrible trade proposals for #2. I actually come for another reason.

I collect hockey cards and last night I pulled a bigger Dawson Mercer card. It is a Young Gun Exclusive out of 100 for anyone curious. Cards tend to sell well once a new product is released and two have sold already at $300 USD.

I had only watched him play a handful of times last year. He did impress me a lot. Stat watching he had a really good rookie year. What does next season look like for him? Anyone have any ideas who his line mates could be? Any ideas on stats projections? He was 82-17-25-42 this past season. What do you think he maxes out at?

Sorry for all of the questions. I’m just seeing if I should try to sell the card now while I can get top dollar for it. Or if I am better to hold on to it and tuck it away for a few years and if he really progresses well then I am sitting on a much bigger value card.
Save it. He has hugh chance to play with Jack from the start. He was our best prospect from the begging. Smart men did know that. He was impressive all the time and did hit some rookie wall in the end of the season. He has real potential to be 1ppg player in the next two three seasons. The ibly reason why this card can lost the price, is only because there will be much more of this cards on the market somehow.

If there's no staff in place by the draft then worry. Until then it's a non issue
Does it really matter when assistants get hired? It's not like they're running any full team camps until September and there's no Larry Robinson out there as an assistant. It's more likely at least one (if not both) of the assistants will just be within guys anyway - maybe Dineen and Chris Taylor get promoted. I'm pretty much assuming they're not moving on from Lindy at this point given all the big-name coaches that have already been on the market and gotten jobs, but he hasn't gotten an extension either (yet).

I've tried to helping STI, but grant is not engaging lol
Haha, I appreciate you, though.

Only seems to be engaging with STI. Someone just make it perfectly clear to him that you don’t get the second overall pick without giving up one of Caulfield or Suzuki.
That's probably because Grant kind of knows who I am.

This guy is clearly a nutcase and delusional. There’s so many absurd takes he has and weird opinions. And they’re strong opinions. Like he is convinced the Habs won’t take Wright first overall and there’s no chance that will happen despite everything and everyone in the hockey world pointing to Wright as the most likely pick. He’s also had some absurdly bad prospect takes over the years and seemingly continues to.

The crazy part is that he was an NHL scout for 2 years. That’s insane and scary.
But the fact that his career only lasted 2 seasons and that was all he ever did says a ton. Most scouts stick around wayyy longer than that. And it’s not like he moved onto something else or got another job or anything. He was there for 2 years, they said see ya and 12 years later he’s on twitter just talking about them still and seemingly covering their AHL team to some extent.

That’s not typical and it’s probably because he’s an idiot who should’ve never worked for an NHL team in the first place.
I think we forget how many absolute idiots actually work in NHL front offices. I mean, Mike Milbury and John Chayka were general managers for crying out loud.

The only reason to pause on hiring assistant coaches is because you're not sure who the head coach will be -- most of them prefer to hire their own guys.

Every step should be taken to sign Bratt. I think he knows he is worth a lot too.

I guess it just depends if he wants to get paid superstar level pay, as I recall he took a bridge contact last and wanted to get paid more(?) i think.

Lol of course teams are interested in him, he’s a 23 year old PPG winger. Doesn’t mean we are interested in trading him.

It’s like people just see a name and go crazy rather read what was actually said. I feel like people have gotten worse in this regard. Like the with Fiala “frontrunner” stuff. That was literally just speculation because someone thought it made sense. People got all crazy over that too.

Honestly between the last contract, the scratches, being left out of the "core" and now being discussed in trades...I don't blame Bratt for anything that happens at this point. He should have been priority number one the second the season ended.

I don't trust Fitzgerald and I hate that we waited so long doing everything right just give this guy the keys right before the finish line.

I fully expect our pick to be Gauthier followed by an off-season full of desperate moves.

Not to mention how bad Weekes whiffed on the Eichel package too, guy said that Eichel was gonna go for Matt Tkachuk before it got shredded to pieces.

Hey, general question...

What brand of tin foil makes for the best hat?

Even taking this at face value, it means literally nothing. Not significant contract talks yet (which apparently isn't true, but let's pretend)... okay it's June 18th, there's still a lot of time. And several teams are interested... I'd be surprised if teams weren't interested, it'd be like other GM's aren't doing their job.
