Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The Team Canada investigation is definitely a bit of a cloud hanging over McLeod. I have a strong feeling it’s pretty well known what occurred there. It might be partially the Devils just getting out what could end up reflecting extremely poorly on the organization.
I do wonder what they were afraid of Boqvist/Bastian being. Maybe Fitzgerald feels he can sell them on returning once they see what’s out there offer-wise.
I do have to say there’s quite a few intriguing players who weren’t qualified in the last few days going to free agency. Maybe Fitzgerald has his eyes set on a different group of players to replace those guys, but I also just don’t understand messing too much with a recipe that worked.

Honestly, I don't hate the argument that Mikey is one of the best fourth line guys in the league.

I actually understand it in OT because possession is so valuable in OT, specifically.

I don't. We have a $7 Million PPG C that's a 54% faceoff man for that.
Wouldn't mind him on the Comets. Didn't like how they lost him and now could get him back.
Last season in AHL Texas:
67GP - 21G/27A/48Pts
There would be a spot for him.
Issue with Reilly is he's another lefty. Issue with Bear is that he's out until December. I too would love Bear though
He's an AHL player and would fit nicely with the Comets on a return run.

Taking Nico off the ice in favor of McLeod in OT would be like Pittsburgh taking Sidney Crosby off the ice in favor of Jeff Carter.

I do think it's relatively ironic that a large portion of the bashing of McLeod, and Bastian to a lesser extent, wouldn't be happening if they signed QOs or deals by now.

Nobody is bashing anyone ffs and if they took their QOs and didn't go to arbitration, they'd be paid at fair rates. So no shit.

I was "bashing" him before we knew he wasn't qualified
this qualification has no bearing on my opinion of him as a player, just like Bratt's contract status didn't impact what I thought of him prior to signing.

I think it was everyone but Howden. Shit Formenton didn't even get a contract last year because of it

I make the same faces just dealing with everyday life. It's the "why the hell has this world not burned yet" face. Nico's just carrying it on to the ice for us all.
TBH Nico's probably a soul eater and he's carrying all our burdens. That's the kind of man he is. That's my captain.
I’m skeptical it’s been so difficult to investigate this. I am not sure what could have been so hard to get. You don’t even need the young lady to cooperate if she is reluctant. Just get the emails and texts and videos from the players. These are state authorities with subpoena power.
