i just see tons of black boxes here. Twitter was doing this yesterday too.
My guess is that to see Tweets on HF you will have to be logged in on Twitter from now on. Extremely stupid but that's the site now.
He was outplayed by his goalie teammate almost every year, with the exception of his rookie year when Bobrovsky had a down season and last year when Merzlikins was at the bottom of the league.I personally think he's not as bad as people often think.
21-22 was abysmal (dont look up his stats) but apparently he was battling a hip injury for a long time and eventually got a surgery for it to end the season early.
So I would say last year was good by those standards. Coming off a hip surgery and posting .913 in the hilariously bad Columbus team and then having a fine run with Kings after the trade. EDM really scouted him down during the playoff series though.
I think he'd be a fine backup for most of the teams. Out of those options listed I would take him as the backup/1B role if were talking similar contract for all of them. I wouldnt pay much though.
He's overrated by some people due to his bubble run but I also think hes underrated by many people too. He seems like an average goalie to me if you put a decent squad ahead of him.
I was afraid he was going to wind up in Bellevue based on his torrent of laughing emojis in the Meier signing thread on the main board. What a loser.God that poster Cryptoguy (huge Rags homer) is so annoying. How is he a mod or whatever ? Literally tries to shit on the Devils or Islanders on the main board every chance he gets. It's funny because now that we are better than the Rangers he is just looking super pathetic everytime he attempts to talk shit haha.

I’ve been on about the cheap shots and dangerous plays for a while. This is just my form of drawing attention to the problem. Nobody ever disagrees with me in the issue. Almost every game there are dangerous plays made that go unpenalized. It just gets worse in the playoffs. The mouth breather fans are the worst. They will complain you can’t take hitting out of the game. Yet nobody is complaining about legal checks. Where in the book is hitting a guy in the back a legal check? Where is the rule that says cross checking a guy in the back is ok so long as he doesn’t immediately fall? Or the stick in the groin? Or the elbow to the head like Trouba? I’ve just had enough of seeing that stuff and all the clutching and grabbing and interference that goes along with it as good hockey plays. No they aren’t. They are lame low skill plays that just slow the game down and eliminate the skill. Raising three kids in an area where virtually all hockey fans are casual fans thr kids don’t care about Reaves. They don’t care about Trouba or anyone like that. They like Jack and Zegras and anyone else who can skate really fast and score dazzling goals. The big hit or fight is a curiosity but nothing more. They can watch thr NFL or UFC to see guys legally blast each other if they so choose. It’s time to modernize the sport and just call all the stupid infractions. For a week it will be as bad as an NBA game but the players will adjust.Bad day at the Supreme Court for you, solicitor?
You know (checks notes) there's still room aboard the Devils train... please recall the late 80s into the mid 90s when we built our team with proud Canadiens alumni both in coaching and players. Join us!

It’s not complicated. Let me run a focus group of casual sports fans and let them watch video of guys scuffling in the corner and cross checking each other and the post whistle scrum and then a video of skating teams taking chances a legit hit or two some dynamic saves and some highlight reel goals and find out which they would prefer. I’d bet the mortgage payment on the latter winning if the group are casual young sports fans the league actually wants to watch the game more often. All kidding aside, it's very true, and it was on stark display in the playoffs. You'd think the league would want to clean that mess up when the sport is under the spotlight, but no.
The willingness to look the other way or, frankly, ENCOURAGE this type of play through lack of calls, discipline, etc. is frightening. Because this crap is more dangerous than fighting (and probably why fighting existed in the first place, to stop this stuff).
If you want fighting out of the game, that's fine, but then you have to police this stuff.

Wanting to give one of the best two way play drivers in the league 3 mil??? f***ing clowns
Wanting to give a 4th line PK and FO specialist 2 mil? Absolute geniuses
must be in another board; but it's been up for a couple minutes now that Bastian has signed and McLeod has signed
Nothing about Boqvist's game stuck out. There was no obvious role he fulfilled. That's why he's moving on.Bo was very likely the best of the 3 4th liners we are talking about, but Ruff absolutely hates his guts for some reason so it doesn't surprise me he's gone. But he's not a player to get worked up over either. If we do bring Nate or Mikey back it better be for super cheap.
Guessing we’re not doing much today. Bottom six forward, RD, goalie perhaps?
I don't think you need to worry about that, unless you wildly overestimate Boqvist. Fundamentally we're replacing him with Foote and Holtz.I very much mind Boqvist leaving if we replace him with someone older, worse and more expensive.
Holtz shouldn't be playing on the 4th line and Foote hasn't shown he's an NHL player.I don't think you need to worry about that, unless you wildly overestimate Boqvist. Fundamentally we're replacing him with Foote and Holtz.
Holtz will be on the 3rd line, which is another place Boqvist played last season, and I disagree about Foote. I think he's shown perfectly well that he can be a body on a 4th line.Holtz shouldn't be playing on the 4th line and Foote hasn't shown he's an NHL player.
Boqvist isn't going to be that cheap. Not against giving Foote a chance, but I dislike letting young, cheap NHL players go for nothing.
And Boqvist, for whatever you may think of him, is absolutely an NHL player.
Sounds like McLeod is one of the ones that was pricing himself too high. Wonder who’s gonna play center this season. Double shift Nico and Jack?
