The jersey numbers in the square are pretty horrible.
The NHL's stadium series jersey designs have been pretty aggressive/egregious rather than clean and classic looks, so I'm tempering expectations.

This is for sure one of the nicer ones. Most concepts are trash but this is quite nice and pays homage to the beginning.

Well it used to be because we didn't have one, but now that we do I don't really see the need for another black jersey.
They figured that guy out way quicker than alot of teams. Usually wears out his welcome at playoff time

For me, it's not the color black - you can make an awesome black jersey. It's just that every single one of them in this league is putrid.
If specifically the Devils nailed it, it would be probably sell to a lot of people who are not hockey fans, the way you used to see the old Raiders jackets everywhere. A white Devils logo with red accents on black with the NJ initials somewhere prominently and a white silhouette of the state? That's money ready to be showered on you.
I love Marty and all but there has to be a little more business sense than what we did with the Jersey jerseys.
And for f***'s sake, sell me the Hat hat.

Man wtf are these lines though. There has to be a better way to get the most of the players than randomly putting McLeod, Lazar, and Holtz with players they don't belong with.

Lazar has done a nice job but guy literally has zero points. Not exactly sure that he’s a player that will help get Mercer going. Idk what Lindy is trying to accomplish with these lines.

Does Lazar have really bad numbers at LW or something? Or is he incapable of playing on that side?
The wings guys play really isn’t important. IIRC he was playing there on the 4th line earlier and had the best xG% on the team or something like that. Lazar is where he is because of HARDNESS. Lindy said it himself.

Lazar helps with possession and defense. He probably wants a 3rd line that can avoid getting scored on.
Sometimes guys mesh even when, on paper, it looks like it wouldn't.
People were upset when Holtz was put on McLeod's wing, and then Holtz goes out and performs better then he ever has.
Personally I'd keep them together, but I'll wait to see how it plays out. For sure those won't be the lines for the entirety of the first game on the trip, let alone the entire trip.

Ruff also doesn't usually do major line shake ups after wins. When we drop a game, guys will get moved around.
