And his hair….. it was unlike anything I’ve seen.

It seemed to have some body to it, yet at the same time it was so see-through.

I can’t figure out what it was. Not sure if plugs or weave. You could see there wasn’t much left in his later playing years. Even in the middle of his career it was significantly going.

I can’t figure out what the hell was up with his hair. It was fake, but it looked too cheap and fake to actually be fake.

I’m sure the number is different now but an old article I read said something like on average players miss about 9 games per year around the league. Injuries are part of the game. There are more durable players than Nico. There are players, some of them
stars, that are way less durable. Everything doesn’t have to be some existential crisis.

I’ve experienced plenty of joy watching Jack, Bratt, Mercer, Nico turn into good players. You just seem intent on finding the most negative outlook possible. Like do you really think it’s that big of a deal if Nico plays 74 games this year or some shit? Calm down.

If Nico plays 74 games this year that’s an improvement from the last three consecutive seasons…that would be a good thing but it goes to show how consistently he’s been missing double digit amount of games. That is a big deal for a young still developing player who’s supposed to be a central part of this team’s success. Like I said, if you want to pretend it’s not…knock yourself out. I think it’s ridiculous that you feel the need to deride those who feel otherwise.

As far as seeing these guys develop…it’s largely meaningless if the end result is not team success. And it’s not like individually they are generational talents that one can really marvel at from an individual standpoint regardless of the team results (maybe Jack will get to that level someday who knows).

I remember a late season loss in 2020-2021 (I don’t remember too much from that season, I was living in a fog, especially late in the season and then the entire offseason) in Philly (I think it was in Philly, it might have been at home, but I don’t think so) where we allowed two goals with their goalie pulled late in the game. I can’t remember if they won it in the shootout or OT though.

Is it possible we won that game? I know they scored two goals with their goalie pulled. Maybe we pulled out the OT or shootout win though? I know Blackwood was in net, either way.

I think we lost. If I remember correctly, we scored a goal with about 13 or 14 minutes left to put us up 2 and Cangi saying it was an important insurance goal. WTF?

OK .... So I had to look it up. The 3rd period goal came with about 11 minutes to go by none other than Zacha. The rest is how they say HISTORY.

We lost in a shootout. And Giroux scored both those goals on us in about 22 seconds.

Blackwood’s career record against the Flyers is 8-1-2. The one had to have been the one last year and one of the 2 OT were that one.

Y'all slandered the hell out of me for saying ty smith was on waivers when I corrected myself literally MOMENTS after that tweet went out! My correction was right there! But somehow that didn't make it on this thread. He got sent down the the AHL and I had a brain fart thinking that meant waivers. Instantly corrected myself! But on here it seems I'm some scumbag horrible person who maliciously wronged all of you.

I think your Bratt contract tweets over the summer ruffled some feathers when they didn’t come to fruition. My impression is that people claiming inside information are often dismissed of it turns out to be wrong. I don’t doubt you are well intentioned but if you put yourself out there and it fails you can expect some pushback. I believe part of it is you can’t reveal too many details or your source and so it’s easy to presume it’s all made up. Just the nature of the beast.

Sure. Threatening harm is way over the top. I’m not taking sides on this as I don’t do Twitter and didn’t see anything beyond thr snippets posted here. That said the current group of posters is fairly regular and the personalities vary as you’d expect. Some take it very seriously others still post the team should retire Lovejoy’s number. In a group that eclectic you will get some out there commentary. Part of it is also the team being terrible for a while with the exception of 2018. For more than a few people that frustration gets the best of them at times and we see some angry posts from time to time. My guess is with you participating Instead of just appearing as a Twitter guy thr vitriol will fade.
