Guess I'm wrong.

I thought Nemec over Bahl was a cap-related move, but if Bahl were already assigned to Utica that would not appear to be the case. Unless that's all part of the process - I have no idea. Still seems odd that Nemec would make it over Bahl.

nemec most likely gets a 9 game tryout.

the player finds out, what he needs to work on most to become a nhl roster player. the team finds out, if moving a rhd is in the cards to manage the cap at the deadline.

i fully expect nemec to be assigned to utica after a few games and bahl or okhotyuk getting called up.

Or Keith Kinkaid.

I remember one poster starved himself down to a bag of bones because he burned so many calories defending Kinkaid that he just couldn’t consume enough food to keep up with the massive caloric deficit he was creating by the Kinkaid apologies.

And then there was the other one who proclaimed that Kinkaid was definitely a starting goalie and would be soon enough and that he’ll be better than Holtby soon.

He was absolutely right on the Holtby part, as Kinkaid is definitely better than Holtby in 2022. He’s definitely gonna have a way better season than Holtby this year, considering Holtby is not an active pro hockey player this season.
Keith Kincaid played great for us for several seasons.

Chew on that biyatch. ( Sorry, this is my role in this ecosystem.)

So, was Bone Density guy right all along about Nico? :sarcasm:
I don't know about "bone density" lol...but general physical durability is a real thing, and avoiding situations/plays more likely to get you injured is a skill some players possess more greatly than others. That anyone who claims to be an avid sports fan would say otherwise, is kind of baffling.

How is Nico supposed to avoid the situations/plays that have gotten him injured though? Dive out of the way every time a shot comes near him? Never block a shot or play in the "dirty" areas where injuries are more likely to occur? Play wrapped up from head to toe in bubble wrap?

Happy to read that Nemec on the roster is a purely cap move, I'm OK with him getting 9 games but in the long term it's super important that:

a) we don't rush him into the NHL,
b) his contract slides.

I don't know what it is but some people can run through a building without being injured...

Others pull a hamstring when sitting down to pee.

As somebody who pulled a muscle in his neck while sitting on the couch and barely turning his head, I'm definitely in that latter group.

Some players are just unlucky when it comes to injuries. With Nico I'd be more worried if it was something like a knee or hip injury or something else that could become a chronic issue. Granted, enough injuries, even if they are unrelated, can start to pile up after a while and become a problem.

I'm not sure how Nico could become less likely to be injured short of avoiding all contact and traffic areas, in which case he'd then be labeled soft or not willing to do what it takes to win.

@Bleedred

I’ve been through some crap the past 2 weeks, but your random overly aggressive Internet hate on bratt just helped make my day :laugh::laugh:

So I ask you… what is the chance that brattpackguy is really DD getting revenge on you for quoting him all these years?

I’ll argue the opposite for B.

It’s better his contract doesn’t slide but that he does not accrue a season.

If Nico were a real leader, he wouldn't have allowed his team mate to fall on him and break his leg two years ago.

Mary Clarke with USA Today puts the Devils at 27th in terms of least to most watchable teams. Not that the team needs any more motivation to make this a winning season but here it is...

27. New Jersey Devils

In recent years, the Devils have always overpromised and underdelivered and I don’t see that changing in the 2022-23 season. How they managed to make Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, and Dougie Hamilton boring to watch is beyond me, but here we are.
Maybe the problem isn't the Devils, "Mary".

Maybe it's you? Ever think of that?

Yet another talking head calling the team/franchise boring.

Wake me when someone with intelligence comments on the Devils.

Nico starting the season on IR? Have we ever gotten official word on the 10 day reevaluation?
Probably status quo, depending on the severity of the injury to the hamstring those injuries tend to take 3-4 weeks with a high risk of re injury prior to that time table

It is “Come and Get it” but it doesn’t work as well as “Vesey like Sunday Morning”. I do like Badfinger but it’s a more general pun.

I’ve had puns with players names before. I looked up my old account (Guttersnipe) before and it still had “Lappin makes it happen” (all smushed together, I think they gave us fewer letters back in the day).
It was written by Paul. Interesting to compare his demo to Badfinger’s finished version.

Hey guys, we doing okay in here?

I'm seeing my name come up in here a lot and I had no idea this place existed!

Just wanted to reach out and say if you want to chat in here about how much you want to beat me up physically over my tweets that annoy you, I'd much rather you message me and talk to me first. I am sure we are much more likely to grab a beer together than fist fight each other

Or just continue to talk about how much you want to assault me because you think I'm not gonna read it, your choice!

A team that lets in 300+ goals and is good for allowing goals anywhere on the ice would normally be high on the excitement scale.

Who the F is #1 Josh Filmon Stan?

And why did he decide to snitch? :sarcasm:

I wonder who Bratt’s rat is around here?:sarcasm:

Anyway, I’m gonna go outside and touch some grass! :sarcasm:
STOP. I know where your line of thinking is heading and I assure you... I'm far from that "rat". :squint:

Understandable! I've clarified and apologized for that whole debacle countless times! Again, I'm sure that doesn't make it in here, only the slander, but it's been explained and apologized for over and over again.

No, I didn't make it up. Feel free to DM me if you want the full explanation, but it's also on my Twitter and it's a lot to type lol

If you want to hate me forever for misfiring on one piece of news that's your prerogative but that is now months ago (and I've stopped trying to tweet inside stuff since) so maybe move on with your life as well haha whats going on in here is a bit more than pushback on a misfired tweet
I don't hate anyone.

I do hate BS, though.

And that was a load of it that we were being fed.

You should know that I'm the biggest Bratt fan around here so reading your initial tweet got me all excited and then...you know what happened.

So forgive me if I'm not all that pleased to see you around here.

Still, welcome aboard anyway.

Hope you can experience the Devils FINALLY making the goddamn playoffs again.

I'm tired of "winning the offseason". :banghead:

In a lot of cases this is true, but for Nemec and the Devils I'm not sure it is, especially if Luke Hughes's deal starts this season. It's hard for a pick as high as Nemec to not get paid on a second deal.
