I’m actually from Quebec, I know all about it, and I truly believe Quebec is superior to Montreal (little hometown bias but whatever hehe). If you need a few restaurant recommendations don’t hesitate!
We'll have to take this to the DMs soon... but I am looking forward to trying Le Continental.

Zacha at center to me is fine if you staple Bratt to him. Bratt has a similar impact that center vs wing does on him. Then you have Tatar, Sharangovich, Kuokkanen, Tarasenko as the wings with Jack/Nico
So, some kind of variation like this?

Tatar - Hischier - Sharangovich
Kuokkanen - Hughes - Tarasenko
Johnsson - Zacha - Bratt
Wood - McLeod - Zetterlund/Studenic/UFA

Yeah. I also don't hate the idea of trying out Kuokkanen in the middle flanked by Johnsson and Sharangovich/Tarasenko. I think Sharangovich had also played center in the past and maybe it's him in the middle with Johnsson and Kuokkanen.

i dont know much about tatar but the fact that he would be playing top 6 mins just shows you how little talent we have up front. its a no brainer move and again its not going to prevent anyone below him from getting a shot. this board is funny sometimes with complaints.

He is an analytical darling when it comes to driving play, and has scored 20 or more goals 6 times in his career. He may come across as a type of player we have already in being on the smaller side and primarily a left winger, but he brings a finishing ability we obviously are lacking.

Montreal moved on from him due to his contract being up and them having wingers ready to take his spot over internally.

Ideally, I say put him alongside Hughes and Sharangovich and hopefully let the magic happen. Then maintain Zacha-Hischier-Bratt as the other top 6 line.

Montreal moved on because of the playoff stuff. You don't give Hoffman an extra year at the same cap hit instead of signing Tatar if it was just about being replaced internally

Whats wrong with McLeod?

He was on our section but he didn’t say specifically it was us. He said some teams don’t like it but wasn’t sure we’re one of them. I wouldn’t think we would’ve continued to be rumored to be in on him if we had an issue with it
Has there been additional rumours around us acquiring him since that? I haven't really seen anything.

If we have confidence in him not being injury prone, I would be okay with the acquisition. Otherwise, I would stay away. I think we have a good opportunity to take another step up after this upcoming year with losing Subban's contract and our younger players being another year older.

Yeah, if we do manage to still pull Tank, it'll be interesting to see how Ruff deploys the team. Gotta find that balance that works and I do like the balance of the lines I put out. That's a playoff team if health and growth stay positive.

I don't see why we would break up Zacha-Nico-Bratt....They worked well together and enjoy playing with each other.
Zacha has not proven to be a reliable top 6 option. If he improves, fine. If he is not materially better 5 on 5, he needs to be in a bottom 6 role.

True I forgot about the Hoffman signing but I figured with having the rise of Caufield as well as younger players in the system like Poehling and Ylonen, they're looking to move on from a player of Tatar's ilk. Hoffman obviously fills what they were looking for him to provide also.

Did it have snails and gravy on it?

Hah, no. You just can't believe how badly someone can f*** up all three key aspects from the bread to the cheese to the sauce. $20 worth of ingredients from a supermarket could get you a better pizza.

I know it is hard to accept for many...But over the last two years Zacha has produced more points than any player on the team....If he is not a reliable top 6 option, no one is.

Please tell me how good is he at driving play at even strength? Answer is not good.

Also, you can't really cite non-even strength points to make an argument for him being in the top 6.

Lines are at 5v5. Zacha ranks 10th out of 15 forwards who have played 500 minutes in 5v5 P/60. This is without even getting into the other stuff. Such a reliable top 6 forward...
