Hot take: The Ramones cover of "Do You Want To Dance" is better than the Beach Boys version.

Also, a giant f*** you to Mike Love... forever and always an enormous piece of shit.

You’ve missed a fair amount of the steak . They’ve had games where the goalie has to bail them out in thr first period and games where the defensive structure supported the goalie well. I think that’s how it’s supposed to work but there have been games the vast majority noted they would have lost last season .
I did miss a lot....but coming into tonight the Devils were the 5th best team in time with a lead.

2nd best team in the league in time trailing.

This is clearly the difference.

Check out these numbers and compare them to last year.

Goaltending was bad last year but
Scoring is a bigger factor in the improvement than goaltending in my opinion.

I think you are short changing the D a bit here too. It's a big reason as well for the turn around.

Marino and Siegs just unplug pressure so effortlessly.

Switching out Ty Smith and Subban for Marino and Brendan Smith has made a big difference too. Perhaps the most important thing is a healthy Hamilton though.

I don't really think defense is a factor either...play with a lead and the defense gets caught flatfooted far less frequently. You don't have to press and make that deep pinch you make sure your business is taken care of first....it all stems from playing with a lead

Sure. I’m just saying that the goaltending has made saves in certain games where last year they lose. The team is good this year but look at it this way. MBW is 4-2 with a 2.8 GAA with a save percentage of 880. Look at VV or Schmids numbers in comakrion. There are a few games they lose in this run of the goalies are around 880 instead of above 900. Either way it’s a good team.

The craziest part is when I wouldn't have minded Subban back for one year........and he got replaced by a guy who's been a two way monster which has allowed to Severson play lower in the defense for the first time in his career.
