The Strome can't put up points without Panarin crowd is quiet now.
Yes I am eating crow (even if I was for the signing in the offseason) and I fully appreciate what he is doing now. You just can't deny from a production standpoint he is cementing himself as a decent 2c. Lot of the points he has put up have been pretty ones too like tonight's pass and the goal he scored on the Lafreniere pass.

Watched the Shesty sequence a few times now. As a goalie, I have had a few similar situations. Cannot get a good read here though. HIS reaction certainly looks serious. But cannot see in detail exactly why/When it happened. We Will have to wait and see...

Same...not sure if it's from torqueing up and shooting out his lead leg, or something from the slewfoot earlier and on that sequence he really flared up something that was originally just a tweak...

Hope it's not serious...but I swear I felt it when I saw his face. :(

I'm still not sure if he is here past this contract but he does have the ability to make players around him better.

I simply can't explain how much this made me burst as I scrolled through this thread and was eating supper after after a long day. LOLOL

Strome has strung together 5 good games. He still has his boneheaded mistakes out there. He is playing well. He needs to keep it up so they can flip him for something of value. But lets not act like this washes away the first month+ of the season...

Colt 45 is comparable to vile dishwashing liquid IMO. The impossibilities of entering the US right now put Aside, I would gladly join Edge and Bobbop to drink up a case of that junk right Now and discuss things. NYR, careers, life... It would get Pretty hardcore after that though... ;)

No worries...I’ve always got @Edge ‘s back. And I wouldn’t mind knocking down a Colt .45 or two while we wait for that MRI tomorrow.

Unless he's straight up said he doesn't want it, why does Kreider not have the C? He's always talking with everyone and appears to be a really popular guy on the team. A veteran and playoff performer. This guy is captain material.

Edit: didn't see the posts above about it, but still. Captain Kreids please.

"we're going to have Rooney play with Fil so he can take faceoffs... "

Rooney 25% on draws; somehow worse than an injured Chytil.
He broke a bone or more in his hand. Faceoffs can really torque those muscles in ways that other things during the game or training do not. It’s perfectly fine for someone else to be able to take those, especially on defensive ice draws where there is more stick grappling to win it back.

I feel like Howden has carved out a niche for himself as a fourth line center and Penalty Killer. He has played with more of an edge this season, but now the offense has completely vanished.

He's a guy who looks like he'll have a role in the NHL, probably with multiple teams, but the rest of his game just hasn't developed like one would've hoped.

And frankly, there's nothing wrong with that, so long as you have the proper centers in place on the other three lines.

Agree but I think Howden is better fit as a 4th line winger (emergency center).

The goal on Lafreniere’s pass was from Buchnevich. A different crow dish, my friend.
