All that people outside the NYR universe need to see is a clip of how he keeps the puck inside the blue line and the play alive in the offensive zone, with two opposing players draped over him, to realize how good he is.

The average fan probably struggles to get their heads around the games of many defensemen.

If players are not posting high offensive numbers, or delivering big hits, I think it becomes hard for people to "know" about the player without watching them game-in and game-out.

But Fox honestly one of the three best overall defensemen I've seen for the Rangers in the last 35 years.

Well, since Igor is only day to day and is fine will post this now...

Ahhh felt good to wake up this morning after that slaughter of the Devils. Just hope Igor is ok.
Yeah man, and if they do what they need to do, we can really make some hay. I mentioned climbing up the ladder. Beat the Devils Saturday, next team up above us...... Penguins. What a coincidence, we play them b2b next. Win those 2 and we probably leapfrog them.

After the Pens comes b2b vs Bruins and Flyers, happenstance that they are the next rung above the Pens? Hmmmm.

Oh how the mighty Bruins have fallen a bit. Once a +15, where everyone else in division was a minus gf/ga. Dropped behind Caps and Isles.

Then we play the Caps 4 games........if we go on a mad winning streak, well the sky's the limit baby! I know, I know.......dont quote me with negatives, dont wanna hear it. Allow me to dream, God knows I dont when I sleep, nothing but nightmares.

. Yeah it gets tiring after a while. Yes things haven’t gone as planned but the team is still hanging in there. Some people just enjoy misery
Plus we hit the .500 mark....an accomplishment in itself despite our troubles this season . With a couple of tweaks I still think we cam make the playoffs ....stick a couple of bruisers in every now and then and see what happens to some of our docile guys ....I bet it makes a HUGE difference . Add that Geersten ? and go get MacEwen...it will help . Keep in mind the games are going to keep getting nastier and there will be lots of cheapshots in these games .

Are the other two in the HHOF ?

Warren Young could put up points with CK these days.....but I expected you to get a shot in at your detractors...fair game LOL...I agree though Strome has played well of late.

Ck wasn't doing much until he started playing with Strome, not saying its the reason but it certainly hasnt hurt. Strome has played well since he got here minus a few games here and there, notably to start the year where it looked like his hands couldn't catch up to his brain. This is who he has been since we aquired him.

I don't mind him...we were and have been lucky we got him considering the league shortage of Centers these days . I even gave him a Star last night.

Here's to coach Quinn. He seems to be the right man for the job so far. Not easy and he's doing his best. I think he's handling most responsibilities, including the Mika Z situation, very well. It was time to do something. That could've blown up in his face if the Rangers lost last night. This place would've erupted. Anyway, somebody needs to give the man his props. Count me in.

Completely deserved props. Between sitting Zibanejad (but not too much) and switching Chytil between center and Strome’s RW he helped change the course of the game.

All I know is, nobody can legit say that we didn't get the better of that deal.
If he didn't play well last year and "connect" with Panarin, then which center would have? An 18 yr. old rookie Chytil? Zbad was doing his thing mostly with Kreider but wasnt necessary to have him with Panarin
So, by default it was Strome.....the haters will say. And NOW, he's fitting in great with Kreider while Zbad is licking his wounds. Someday Chytil WILL BE 2C, if not 1C but until then.....Stromer is the man. Give credit where its due, he has probably done MORE than, what could have been reasonably expected. If he could ever be our 3c, then we probably will be reaping some benefits.

I've always believed him to be a stop gap, he will price himself out of here, it would be nice if he was the 3c but i doubt he makes it past this contract here.

I’m fully enjoying trifecta of virtual silence on Strome, Buchnevich and not developing Lafreniere.

Yeah everyone who complained about those things sure got put in their place, Quinn giving them exactly what they wanted and all.

Nature of the "business". Loyalty be damned. Its all about the Benjamin's. All for the kid though. Shame he will trade in a Cup for a couple million extra.
