So? That doesn't change anything about the sentiment.
I never said it would.

Do you honestly believe ADA is being unfairly persecuted (again), and it’s that persecution that now has him looking for his fourth organization in 7 years, has resulted in a fight with a teammate, and has caused other teams do their research and conclude, “eh, not going there right now?”
Maybe he’ll hit the net now?Btw I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a wrist or hand issue with Trouba. He took a puck off the hand area late in the 2nd period and he immediately dropped his hand down and was shaking it.
I think the primary function of that trade was to get out of Stepan's contract and whatever we got, we got.Why did they trade our #1 center and our backup goalie for him then?

LOL our number one center. for ADAWhy did they trade our #1 center and our backup goalie for him then?
Pretty sure we received a high first round pick in that deal. Stepan was available because the organization was concerned about his skating as he got older and Raanta, although a good goalie was easily replaced. They took a shot on Tony and although his play, especially last year, was pretty good, his demons couldn't be controlled and now he is really labeled. Why did they trade our #1 center and our backup goalie for him then?
I'm just curious.
Was Georgie even fined for throwing a punch at a teammate?
exactly
no he wasn't...but DeAngelo gets banished for it...makes no sense whatsoever
And that player was also underperforming. The entire team is underperforming and people are finding a way to make it about one player.
It makes sense when you look into the context that has been gone over dozens of times nowexactly

No other team with any other coach in any other city was willing to take him for no cost at all. It’s an issue with him, not with anything specific to this organization, which is his third already if you forgot.@Edge i respect your opinion on all things NYR.
i believe what i wrote. kids been this way his whole career. hot head. quinn couldn't deal with him.
witch hunt hit piece cancel culture road kill. thats what i believe. the optics were poor. its NYC and hes not allowed to be like he is. the narrative was written in stone. true or untrue didnt matter.
his skills are undeniable. his politics are cancellable. he was a good solid teammate and well liked. georgie hit him. from what i read. he said something in the heat of the moment. happens.
it did not have to get to here. thats what i believe.
sad ending for him.
this team has more issues than tony.
quinn has to go.

I think “what is our system” is a tough question generally. If someone doesn’t deeply understand the X’s and O’s of the game at this level - and I admittedly don’t - any talk about defining any teams system is going to be hard to nail down in a meaningful way.
Having said that, yeah it’s hard to describe generally the way they want to play. I’d think it’s quick transitions out of the D zone and then focusing on forcing lateral movement in the o-zone. But they’re not executing it well at all recently. They were doing it pretty well at the start of the season and just not getting luck but it’s gotten worse since then for sure
