Then later that game Rempe hit Seigenthaler in the head with an elbow and got suspended for it. So that’s why McDermid and Rempe were fighting off the draw.

I’d argue it’s fun when it happens, but an entire game of guys trying to injure people (or the perception of it) is part of what kept hockey so niche for so long


The opening was cool. Some of the guys getting kicked was probably the right message to send. Watch UFC if you just want blood. They got a lot of the aggression out and now it’s a game

That was fun but certainly Trouba and Miller didn’t know they would get ejected, right? Otherwise I’m not sure why they did that.

It’s also very dumb of Vesey and Lazar to have dropped their gloves that quickly. Surely they knew MacDermid and Rempe were gonna go and everyone would rather have basically every player on the ice still in the game instead of Vesey and Lazar lol. Extremely boneheaded of those two and they basically screwed over their teams.

It was disgrace to the game of hockey. Why would anyone take the league seriously after that embarassing display of nothingness pandering to the lowest common denomonator.
