Wasn't there some rumors 2-3 days before the draft that the Habs were leaning towards Slaf? I thought most of us here realised that we might not get Slaf at the draft.

I wanted Slaf/Wright at that time.

Am satisfied with Nemec now.

The Slaf pick confused me so much. They should have done a bunch of press leaks to pump up the pick but it was silence the entire time. I didn't think the management was stupid enough to let it go quiet.

Some people are really late bloomers. It's rare but it's not impossible.

He doesn't look like he can move or even think at NHL speed right now. You can get away with physically not being super quick if you think the game quick enough, bit he isn't doing that either.

I waited Slaf as number one way before the noise. I thought it was more obvious, especially how Wright looked.
I was surprised by Nemec pick even if he was my early desire. I had the only issue with his activity against driving. But he fixed it pretty greatly. Now he is looking like potential top two way defenseman like Seider or Sanderson or Edvinsson. May be not as elusiveness, but quite close. And I like his decision making more than Edvinsson, his iq was high from the beginning. So may be he is a candidate for contend for the best future two way defenseman.
