Pretty confident that Simon is NHL ready. Still no harm in letting him cook in the AHL. But he’ll be here by the end of the year for certain.

Somewhat similar situation to Luke (obvious NCAA vs AHL difference). They could both play at the start of the year but by the end of the year they'll certainly be ready and be ready to make real impacts

Miller being able to PK is what I assume will allow him to edge Nemec out, but Nemec is going to be the first call up and I'm not sure he is giving that spot back once he gets it

Nemec was easily our best player this past period outside of Schmid. Honestly, all of our defensemen looked really good outside of the obvious Wotherspoon outlier.

Other than that, I just don't think Clarke is going to be an NHL player, at least with us. I think he's a really good AHLer, just lacks that one thing to take him to the next level. Nosek on first glance seems like a great depth signing.

Went back in the 2022 Draft GDT a few weeks ago and chuckled a little bit. Many were so convinced we were getting Slaf or Wright that they totally dismissed an elite RD D-man and claimed it was a bad pick.

Amidst all the talk about L Hughes and Nemec (rightfully so) we can’t forget Schmid. I cross my fingers he is the real deal. Can’t help but love what we’re seeing from him.
