Unlike the Vancouver game we looked awful all night though.

At least we looked good in the 1st tonight.

I’m sorry if this has been talked about already but I couldn’t find any info on Twitter. Did Bratt return from injury after leaving the powerplay early in the third? I’m not sure if he took another shift after that.

Bahl's game card looks iffy, but I think he's had some real solid moments and games lately. I never thought he could hit that stretch pass to Bratt and he's asserting himself much more physically. He just needs to play a simple game.

He really hasn't been that bad this year. He might be over exposed with Siegs out right now but he is fine.

They had a lot of breakdowns. They gave up a lot of high danger chances. But they finally got goaltending and they got a ton of help from the iron.

If they got this goaltending all season, they would be at the top of the league. They played way worse today than they normally do.
What a warped way to look at the game tonight. Final score is all that matters at the end of the day. We played the right way and won . LGD

Bahl always looks good to me in person. I don’t know why, but he looks solid in person. I think he can carve out a career like Merrill where he kicks around the league for a really long time, but I also don’t think he’s really a piece that will be here super long term either.

He’s a monster in person too. Some of these guys line huge in person when you’re that close to them.

Even Smith is huge in person.

Bratt not so much. Same with Jack.

Luke looks big but a bit skinny. Normal for a 20 year old player.

I guess Mercer got hurt in the 1st? He didn’t miss many shifts though.

That's right baby. I mean look at what's going on here, individually. Bahl has had a monster few games (less so tonight). Nemec was terrific. Both Smith and Miller played exactly the way they need to play. Marino had a few moments looking like last year.

We've got like five fourth liners in the lineup and they all contributed for two games in a row.

Holz Lazar McLeod, Bastian all playing some of their best hockey. Nico battling.

Bratt with maybe his best game this year against Tampa and starting again tonight.

Even Toffoli didn't hurt us.

I just didn't see that many mistakes out there, irrespective of the number of chances or where they were on the ice. And when we are missing regulars that is all I can ask
Bratt's 200 ft game has really developed.

he's gone from All-offense/razzle-dazzle to a bit more substance and grit.

Still, crucial win with the Washington Washups still twitching and the Piles still racking up points. Philly not dead yet either.

Crucial 3 points so far.

Boston doesn’t scare me too much offensively, but will be very hard to come back on if we go down. Unlike Tampa, who really just aren’t good this year. They’re low key mediocre and floating on reputation and some of the big talent they have.

I think the Flyers are the biggest lock out of the teams ahead of us in the Metro, they just scream Trotz Isles for some f***ing reason. Really annoyed at the Jets

The Flyers are legitimately a sound and competitive team that’s now gaining confidence and getting better game by game. They have good goal tending and solid defense. They are young and athletic and are starting to believe. They have enough firepower with Tippet, Koneckny, Farrabee and also play a physical game. To me they are the big surprise of the year in the Metro and right now I like their chances better than I like the Caps or the Isles.

I mean who expected this ?
