Maclean was actually given a better forward lineup than this.

Jim was getting flamed for complaining about the first round pick last year not being forfeited. I think right now it's really looking completely indefensible, and inexcusable. We're on pace for a top 15 pick this year. We're also on pace for a top 15 next year if Lou/Hucksterbeek do not upgrade the offense with guys on the UFA market.

Maybe Lou manages to circumvent the penalty somehow i don't know...

our top 6 are ****ing pathetic, if Kovy, Zajac, Clarkson etc. would like to get on the scoresheet once in a while that would be nice.

If Hedberg starts tomorrow Deboer should be fired.

They could actually get the top pick under the new system, just by missing the playoffs :p:

Dude, don't even bother. It's mob mentality with Hedberg right now. Some how he is responsible for everything going wrong with this team. He's a scapegoat regardless of his struggles recently..

Soft goals kill momentum, especially when your team is slumping. If I gave up three soft goals in a single game in prep school hockey I wouldn't have played again for a month, never mind the NHL. The first two Leafs goals tonight were unbelievably soft and the third wasn't much better. What's worse is that the soft goals are becoming a pattern as Moose has had more playing time since Marty went down.

Pray to god this team manages to get Corey Perry some how...

No way the Ducks mess with a formula that has them 2nd in the league behind CHI. Even if Perry isn't producing, messing with that lineup would be monumentally Pejorative Slured for ANA. Lou definitely needs to make a trade, but it's looking like there just won't be anyone of quality available. Might have to wait until free agency.

How quickly we forget. This is NOT MacLean level. This loss was on Hedberg, Elias and an inability to convert 3 or 4 jewels.

This is a fact but people will panic because this is still painful to watch and they need to vent so let them have it after a game we had and should of won

I have zero confidence in Moose right now. You have to start Kinky at home at this point and we need to pray Marty is ready for Thursday. Moose back as the back up with a week or so off will bounce back but he needs to sit now.

I still think we will turn it around but I'm going to peace out for the night because I get that is a minority opinion at the moment.

We need a damn spark though and maybe a jelly jar. Someone yelling enough is enough.

You don't wanna hear this, but I think a lot of people are starting to get fed up and thinking the same thing.

Management did not build a very good team this Summer. He got a gem in Loktionov, but who did we sign? Barch? Butler? We kept the 1st round pick for Stefan ****in Matteau? Really? With the uncertain ownership situation I'm not sure if I can blame Lou particularly.

What's puzzling about this stretch is that Moose actually played fairly well the stretches he WAS the starter two years ago. He's just showing his age now, that and his puckhandling idiosyncrascies haven't helped. Even two years ago he was allowing goals off the boards when he roamed too much.

It's almost as if they're overplaying him now to justify the pick.

2 wins in the last 10. 3+ goals scored ONCE in that span and the season is almost halfway over. If it's not time to panic yet it's damn close.

If Marty isn't back soon we're sunk..

Just checked capgeek, can't believe Moose is contracted for next season too. I really don't want him as the backup anymore.

If Kincaid and Wedgewood aren't yet ready then we need to find someone from another team that is ready but can't get a game for his current team - like a Ben Bishop.

If Vancouver aren't trading Luongo get Eddie Lack. Jake Allen also looked good filling in for Halak when he was injured.

I wouldn't be against trading Clarkson or Greene if the return was tempting enough. The problem is that Vanderbeek is coming off a Finals appearence and can't really deal key pieces of that team.

Don't get me wrong, this is a team game and the team is struggling. But just like good goaltending can make a mediocre team better, bad goaltending can make a good team bad.

This sucks overall. Somehow I still have faith though. I look at this group of forwards and I think to myself, it just seems so unlikely that they can be this offensively inept for an entire season. Maybe I am wrong?

Re shuffle the damn lines.

DO NOT START HEDBERG TOMORROW! I don't think they win until he gets benched. Awful goaltending.

Here is your solution. You can't win with a goalie who in a terrible slump. It's really that simple.

PDB isn't at fault.

Lou has not addressed this teams issues, it is on him.

Agreed, and I'm with you there. I am hesitant to blame Lou, but management/ownership. Lou's hands could be tied, but if they weren't then he doesn't get a pass at all. We don't know if his hands were tied or what.

The only complaints on Pete is his overuse of Kovy, and if he uses Hedberg tomorrow night I'll put that on him. This team was not built good at all. If any coach deserves blame then put it on Shaw. The PP is a joke.

Johan Hedberg blamed himself for the loss. Says he haz to make the big saves

I would settle for just making the routine saves at this point
