We can talk about goaltending all day and there's no denying Hedberg hasn't pulled his weight.

But it starts and end with the high end guys at the top. Kovalchuk, Elias, and Zajac. When they play like absolutely dog **** (I thought Trav was alright tonight, but that doesn't erase the first twenty games), this is what happens.

We got lucky the first 10 games when Clarkson was playing like Gordie Howe, but the top guys have to produce. Bottom line.

You don't wanna hear this, but I think a lot of people are starting to get fed up and thinking the same thing.

Management did not build a very good team this Summer. He got a gem in Loktionov, but who did we sign? Barch? Butler? We kept the 1st round pick for Stefan ****in Matteau? Really? With the uncertain ownership situation I'm not sure if I can blame Lou particularly.

As much as this sucks and is giving me horrid flashbacks, the Devils are giving me enough to believe this can be turned around. These losses are still close and could be flipped either way.

This team has never given up in the regular season, even the year we didn't make the playoffs. I have no reason to expect any different from them now.

Now, now. I'm just as pissed as anyone but let's no go around threatening to walk away from this team's leading scorer. He made a huge mistake tonight sure, but Hedberg didn't give him much help on that goal either.

I think Elias has been playing fantastic the past few games other than his give away this game. He's been making great passes, just nobody can put it in the back of the net.

We're also letting me way to many goals. This team is limited offensively to match 4+ goal games.

I really do think a lot of this is on the coaching staff.

The PP, PK, the terrible minutes (28 for Kovy again). Today would have been a great night for Kinkaid to hopefully spark the team to play well for him...9 minutes for Carter who was probably our best player...

No accountability, no adjusting. The 4 least deserving players were the ones out there for an important PP at the end. I still can't even tell you what our system is supposed to be.

That is a good point, and Zajac's extension too. Though that didn't get finalized until after JVB got his finances in order. The Salvador contract is really bothering me now. It was bothering many of you, and not me but now it is. Not because he's playing horrible, but we could have signed Hudler or Parenteau for not much more. And we wouldn't have this stupid defensemen controversy.

The only complaints on Pete is his overuse of Kovy, and if he uses Hedberg tomorrow night I'll put that on him. This team was not built good at all. If any coach deserves blame then put it on Shaw. The PP is a joke.

I disagree that PDB isn't at fault, he certainly is. Kovalchuk is a player who can single-handedly win a bunch of games, but he can't do it when he's playing the entire ****ing game. Idk why they keep doing that nonsense.

Well I was half-kidding really since he hasn't exactly gotten much icetime in his games ...but yeah the fact Matteau's been around as long as he has, when he's not exactly going to light up the scoreboard like a Huberdeau is going to raise an eyebrow. They can get anyone to be a third/fourth-liner, which Matteau should be but they've stuck him on the first line.
