Unfortunate, because we've seen how good he can be. Problem is,.he is rarely that player. This is more what you get. Too many mistakes, even though he can generate offence from the backend.

I think we can all agree that Jack Hughes is a great player………..he makes 8 million per year.

to play the position at an above average level...that's why he makes 3.5 next season on
since stolarz went down he is
7-5 with a .900 and a 2.92 GAA
he has not been good enough stats wise, and he has let in bad goals at the worst times..repeat of all past leaf goalies
This doesn't excuse the offence at all, just highlights another problem with the team as of now

If Timmins had done something with the puck when he had it there is no shot.
Just a lack of good defensemen, so stuck with Timmins level defenders.
They have generated more chances tonight than they have recently. No finish, but...
Wouldn't be surprised for an early Devil's goal in the third to put this one to bed.

A hallmark of bad goaltending and bad teams is when blame is apportioned to one or the other, and the goalie's poor play is framed as "he had no chance, look what's in front of him." When that happens you're basically effed and it's time to pack it up and go home.

How many high danger chances have the Leafs given up in the last 25 games since he went down?
Feels like the core guys quit on Berube. They dont even look like they are trying. Not alot of fight or energy to their games. They want to go back to Keefe fun hockey with music during practice.

Lol... hard to win any game when your team struggles to score more than 1 goal a game. Leafs give up way more chamces then they create.

before we continue I just want to ask one question: do you believe this dip in play has no impact from goaltending? Like is woll of no blame during the past 25 games and it's all on the team?
if so then we should just agree to disagree as I don't see us changing each other's opinions
