Yeah it sucks to watch them lose and it sucks that we'll miss additional games, but let's be honest it's better this way in the long run. Even if this team could have somehow made the playoffs, it would have been a brutal beatdown there probably in the 1st round.

This way...
- We won't see Travis Green next season (unless Fitz wants to get fired)
- Personel, staff & roster, changes will be made. They need to ice a way better team than what they have now.
- We get a higher draft pick

Had they snuck into the playoffs, they might have promoted Green and go with just Allen & Kähkönen into next season. Trust that Hamilton and some maturity for our youth is enough, now they know that this ain't gonna cut it.

Only one fanbase gets to celebrate, everyone else is gonna have their heart broken at some point.

Still have to remember Jack isn't 100% and we are missing Dougie and Siegenthaler. Siegenthaler was not very good all seaaon though.

Just hate the fact they spent years upon years building this team and now half of our players look like frauds. They really just need a coaching swap , a starting goalie a few signings and a long summer off to come back stronger next season. Just don't trade that high draft pick as it needs to be used on another center or winger 100%.

Playing worse then they did under Lindy. It's pretty safe to say he instilled some bad habits , let Jack Hughes and his brother a get out of jail free card while other players are getting garbage minutes with plugs like Nosek , Tierney & Smith.

This team needs a new coach who will scare some of these guys away from this franchise. I'm fine with moving on from pretty much any player if they are going to play soft uninspired hockey every night.

I don’t think any players are just outright dogging it. You’ve got guys who have played hurt and children and guys without talent. The team has been a patchwork and work in progress and this isn’t surpsiing to me given the complete failure by the goalies. Right now you only have three healthy players with talent who aren’t children and they are doing ok more or less. That’s not nearly enough to win most games

I decided to clean the garage out today. Got a lot accomplished. Looked around midway through the second and we only had 10 SOG and that sucked but seems par for the course under Green. The only positive I have is that he won't be here next year. Fingers crossed for a complete overhaul of the coaching staff.
