They are saying it was intentional. Not incidental. They should have penalized the Devils player though. On that they f***ed up.

Figures, the refs actually helped New Jersey on multiple occasions by forgiving clear and blatant infractions and yet the New Jersey fans are the ones feeling aggrieved. The league told the NJ feed the only mistake was not calling the penalty, so you were right, the refs screwed up by not penalizing the Devils there.
No I've never been. But since my parents didn't love me they sat me in front of the TV to watch Jersey Shore all day. It's like I've lived there all my life.I’m guessing you’ve never been.
Probably not, but considering how weak the goaltender interference call was, and the fact that an identical type play has been called a goal in the past, you can certainly understand the frustration from Devils fans? Throwing garbage on the ice is not cool. But definitely also a tough way to end a pretty remarkable streak. In my opinion, they both should've been no goal. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Holding on Marner? Delay of game on Murray? Cute that you think there was bias towards New Jersey instead of the officials just being completely incompetent and unqualified for their jobs.Figures, the refs actually helped New Jersey on multiple occasions by forgiving clear and blatant infractions and yet the New Jersey fans are the ones feeling aggrieved.
There should have been a tripping/interference penalty on Tatar.
There should have been a delay of game penalty on the home team.
We also lost a 3-2 lead in game 6 because the refs called every possible Tampa dive
But sure, the refs are out to help us lmao
So you are pissed you didnt get a penalty on the play as well?If it was intentional they should be firing these officials for not knowing the rules after ruling it intentional. I am completely fed up with the blatant incompetence tolerated by this league. At what point do people have enough of this? Every game it's the same bullshit officiating ruining the sport.
I mean Chris Rooney has been doing this for over a decade. If he doesn't know the rules at this point, will he ever learn?
I'm not looking at past examples from other games. I'm simply looking at this play and the rules. And by the rules, it's no goal.
Are you saying the third goal had no kicking motion?Holding on Marner? Delay of game on Murray? Cute that you think there was bias towards New Jersey instead of the officials just being completely incompetent and unqualified for their jobs.
I am from Toronto and will say the NJD were the way better team tonight. Leafs got some solid goaltending that kept them in it.How many names can I call you without getting banned?
You know damn well that statement is bullshit and that your team got smoked.

I'm pissed that officials colossally f*** up the majority of games in this league and we have to spend our time talking about them instead of the product put on by the players. The league doesn't seem to care that their product is tainted this way.So you are pissed you didnt get a penalty on the play as well?
I'm confused.
Actually the 2nd one was the most tacky. As per the rules, if the refs deemed it incidental contact, that should have been ruled a good goal. If they it wasn’t seen as incidental Tatar should have been assessed a penalty…and he wasn’t.
Edit: and ohh yeah, this was previously called a goal against the Devils:
That is definitely true. If the Leafs had 3 goals called back, they would probably lose this game 5-1 because they would just give up at some point in the game.joking aside. As a Leafs fan I'd say this:
1) all the 3 disallowed goals were right calls. its just a weird coincidence that all 3 happened in the same game
2) Devils are a beauty team. 3 disallowed goals but the shoulders did not drop, they kept working hard and almost tied the game at the end there
3) Devils are mentally tough. Thats gonna help the team long into the future (including playoffs).
4) if the script had flipped; Leafs are not that mentally tough to tough it out and keep working hard. I have history and plenty of heart breaks as a Leafs fan to make this claim.
5) Kudos to the Devils and Devils fans that is one heck of a club you guys have there.
I think goals 1 and 2 should have counted. Goal 3 was an obvious call if Haula never touched it with his stick, which it seems he didn't but Sportsnet never actually showed that replay. Are you saying the third goal had no kicking motion?
In my opinion, they both should've been no goal. Two wrongs don't make a right.
I'm sure that the officials deemed the player as trying to avoid contact when he lifted his one skate out of the way, but I don't think that's enough.
I understand their thought process on calling that one a goal, but I don't agree with it.
This was a good goal. So not sure, man.
