Why wasn’t there a penalty called then?

You sure sound like an expert!
I mean, Marner got a stick chopped in the face with a stick, in front of the refs, and they didn't call a penalty. A linesman had to step in and do it.

When the fans threw shit on the ice, instead of issuing a delay of game penalty to the home team, as required by the rules, they didn't.

Why wasn't a tripping penalty issued to Tatar? Who knows.

3 goals called back. Of course fans are pissed. Not shocking at all.

So you're justifying them throwing shit on the ice and on the players? Pretty sure they even threw shit at Leafs players after the game but the camera cut away.

All 3 goals called back were legit.

I mean, multiple people have quoted it already. It's not incidental contact if you take the route between the goalie and the net as he's moving back to the net.

You know the route he's taking, it's the same as when somebody throws a pick by skating behind a PKer when you're making a zone entry. This happens every so often and is called interference whenever it is seen.

Then explain the Calvert one that was allowed on Blackwood that multiple Devils fans have linked. The league doesn't know what the f*** they're doing. There's no need to defend them like this.

Bruins fan here...honestly can't blame them those were some tacky ass calls except for the 2nd

Context for anyone: 3 disallowed goals for the Devs
You are telling me that the third goal wasnt a blatant kicking motion?

All three were fair calls, the second one should have seen us on the powerplay. It was a crazy night but it's not like we havn't gotten f***ed like that before.

Nothing in the rulebook says "lane" or "route to the net", you're making this up. Feel free to point out otherwise.

Also if it is not incidental, it's a penalty.

You can understand someones actions without fully condoning them, lol. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

isnt 3rd goal fine cuz the puck went off a leaf skate.

like how can u kick the puck to ur stick but not center it into the slot

Nope, it's a kicking motion. How can you tell he was centering it to the slot and not trying to kick it into the net?

Only way it wouldn't be a kicking motion is if he was able to get a stick on it after kicking it.

I’m not sure man, was that before or first or second called back? Maybe in between the first goal called back and Murray pushing the net off when the Devils had sustained pressure. Lulz, just getting my timeline mixed up here a bit lol.

Why would I step foot in NJ when NYC is right there?
Well considering you are coming from Toronto you would be driving though NJ to get to NYC. Plenty of great things in NJ but you are probably to ignorant to know about them.

This started being a thing when Lucic crushed Miller.

From that day onward, the NHL has never allowed intentional contact with a goalie who is out playing the puck.
If the goalie initiates the contact, the play is blown and a penalty is given to the goalie.

I understand the confusion of fairweather fans who don't know the rules because they watch sporadically, but there's no need to throw things at the field of play, the officials, and especially at the opponents.

meh, at least some Toronto fans are being reasonable.

Because we all know if this happened in Toronto under similar circumstances, fans would still be throwing shit on the ice, the game would've been called, and HF servers would've been fried.

Unique, infuriating situation.

Where do you see him make a reasonable effort to avoid contact here? He's skating on the same curve and speed pretty much the whole way through.

He pulls his arms in and tries to cut to the right to avoid contact. Murray turns around and runs into him. Reasonable does not equal perfect.
