to be fair the refs didn't either on the 2nd one.
the league office said it was more than incidental and was the reason the goal was waived off. The refs. made an error in not calling a penalty.Contact probably was incidental... I believe it's supposed to be no goal if incidental, and no goal + penalty if on purpose/egregious (could be wrong though).
except it wasn't. If the goal is dissallowed a penalty should have been called, if no penalty called the goal should have counted. The league office already admitted the refs should have called a penalty. The second one was perfectly called too.
No it wasn't.The second one was perfectly called too.
I mean 3 goals called back ... I get it
Not really 50/50.I understand being frustrated at 3 goals called back and it's hard to have a great view live/in arena, but the 2nd and 3rd were textbook no-goals. First one was 50/50 and understandable to be upset over.
Agreed. Not sure what the issue on the last one. Clearly not a goal. But we know how people are. Tommy Lee Jones told us on men in blackThe third was textbook kicking motion. Anyone who has ever read the rule knows it's obviously no goal. First two you can argue about.
Honestly, probably would've happened in most arenas with 3 disallowed goals. Pretty wild.
No it wasn't.
Either it's a good goal, or it's no goal and a penalty.

On the surface, it's pretty absurd to have three goals called back in one game. Not sure I've ever seen it before, so not surprised the fans are pissed. But digging deeper tells a different story; the second and third were no brainers. First one Devils fans have every right to be upset about, I thought it should've gone the other way, but every team's been on the wrong side of those.
IF 3 goals were disallowed for Toronto in Toronto, HFBoards would burn down lol. Fans have a right to be upset wether they are legit or not
No one should be throwing stuff on the ice, but this is just frustration boiling over. We've had something like 12 goals overturned this season, quite a few on questionable "judgement calls" or mystery video review. The 3 overturned goals tonight, plus the obvious missed penalties like Marner on Bastian before the first overturned goal, Murray intentionally delaying the game when the Leafs were trapped in their zone for 2 minutes, etc.
People are fed up with the standard of officiating in this league.
