Your team shoulda won, Took stole it for sure. We're lucky most the time this year, our bottom six plays more than our top and Jay freakin Pandolfos on our third line!

I thought Jersey was great last year, and I was surprised to hear how much people don't like Clarkson here, I'd love to have him on our team. Chia pays everyone 4-5 mil for and they all go through prolonged slumps so he'd fit right in. Henriques great, but I don't know anything about the Devils from this year, I still think they'll make the playoffs though, based on the little I've seen.

Tonight's game has basically been the storyline of the season. Outside of a few clunkers, they've played well most games and just haven't been able to come out on the winning side the past month or so.

We've now outshot our opponents in something like 17 of the last 18 games.. and won maybe 5 of them?

This is where shooting percentage doesn't tell the whole story. We just don't have the power to score money goals, and it's not like everyone is playing like Hasek against us. Although Rask was a beast tonight, but was giving up many rebounds which added to his save total. No shame in getting shutout by Rask and the Bruins. It's when the team chokes in the last minute against those boobs in Florida. Both those games. Those were two points flushed down the toilet. The Islanders game the other night? Two points flushed down the commode because the team didn't get to the building until the 2nd period.

Those games against the former Thrashers? 4 points flushed down the toilet. Now those losses to the Rangers, Canadiens, and a desperate Flyers team with Bryz playing out of his mind? No shame in those, just like no shame in this one. Games with whole periods of no shows, and blown leads in the last 30 seconds? Those are the games that could have potentially ruined our season.

nhl.com acting as if Jagr's goal was highlight worthy. Give me a break. :shakehead

Honestly would not have surprised me if that was waved off. He had his foot planted, but he definitely added some momentum to that puck.

If it was anyone but Jagr/Boston... maybe. Too good of a storyline to cancel out a close call though.

I'm surprised that the goal wasn't at least reviewed. It probably should have been a good goal, but those are usually at least worth a review. Marty didn't look too mad about it from what I remember, and he usually is fuming when a puck is possibly kicked in.

Rask didn't give up a ton of high percentage rebounds though. Most went to safe parts of the ice.

Also didn't help as they just stopped calling interference. Elias shot on that was intended for Bernier to deflect, but he got pulled down and it ended up in Rask's glove. Greene's chance was beautiful, but Rask got the pad locked before he could get it in. Couple posts as well. Chances were there.

You are right though, those lost points in Florida and Monday are glaring and annoying. Where was tonight's team in those games.

It was an obvious good goal

I was surprised by the lack of a review too. By the letter of the rule ya it most likely still would of been a good goal, but worth a look at least right?

Marty said Jagr wasn't looking at the puck so he felt it was incidental. Pass wasn't even intended for Jagr...was just ******** blind luck.

Good effort but with a shortened season and so few games remaining that doesn't count for anything. Non of this "Oh we tried our best, just not getting results" ********, if they aren't getting results then they're going nowhere.

If they played as good as they did today against prior, much weaker, opponents then they wouldn't be on the outside looking in.

it's only a matter of time before the devils get on fire and all of you guys say we can make a run like last year. patience. we have so many opportunities to take out playoff teams with our schedule and sullivan and kovy will be in the lineup soon. i think we'll be okay. if we play like this for the rest of the season we will win every game.

Turning your skate into the puck (soccer-style kicks) is perfectly legal, even if it's intentional.

our problem wasn't that we gave up an unlucky goal. tonight we ran into a hot goalie. we had plenty of chances and i feel we played 60 minutes. can't ask for more than that.

For the first time in a long time, this team has inspired some confidence imho. This was just a real solid team game and that has easily been my biggest issue with them through all of this. Its easy to forget that they hit two posts. They really deserved better.

This team is allergic to offense, and it seems to coincide with Clarkson's decline. The teams decline, and Clarkson's came at the same time.

We all were disgusted with Moose, but I knew at the time the best Marty would have been able to do in some of those games was get us some loser points. Marty came back, and aside from the first two wins he got us some OT loser points. Had he not gotten injured we'd maybe have a few more points, and have an embarrassing amount of OT losses that put last years Panthers to shame.

Our goals for while Marty was out was 2.07 goals for a game. That was skewed by the Flyers game where we scored 5 goals. Take out that game, and Moose got 1.83 goals of support per game. That's not including the 2 goals for the 2 shootouts we won either. It's not like Moose was ******** the bed in 4-3 games.

Yea. I had no problem with the goal. Wasnt even a question to me

It pisses me off to no end because alot of skilled European forwards do this. It's a double standard of sorts. Don't go kicking like some clod, but if you can do a subtle skilled deflection, that's cool. Would be like if in soccer you were allowed to volleyball dig the ball out of the box. Only the goofs that get hit in the hands get a handball.

Because it was his very first game as a Bruin and it was the only goal of the game.
Going by their reasoning anyway.

I think it's really idiotic too. This game should be no where near the main headlines, or any headlines.

it makes sense due to his first game and whatever.

problem is the league/media is a constant pusher of **** like this. shoveling their tripe and in my opinion, insulting the intelligence of fans that know better then to eat it up mindlessly.

but they make the big money this way and 'grow' the game i guess

If this team can play like this against every other team including the garbage ones (Not many of them left though) we have a damn good chance to start picking up some wins. You run into a hot goalie, and one of the best teams in the league but only allow one goal that's pretty good. If the team blows it then they really blew it earlier against the Jets those games, and then a couple games ago against those corpses in the basement in Florida.

Marty was incredible tonight, and deserved much better. The defense was really good too.
