My biggest fear is having a win and in game against the Rags in the last game of the season...

At this point I might sign for that scenario right now. I'm not expecting it to come down to the last game either way.

I ****ing PRAY that we make it and get these dicks from Boston in the first round. ****. THIS. TEAM. It's such garbage. When our luck turns against them, it's going to turn hardcore. Watch and see. They are constantly squeaking out wins against the Devils and never pay the price for being outplayed. But one day it's going to turn. Mark my words on that. The Devils can handle this team.

You should go use the nautilus machines at the local sports clubs to help you relax a bit. The other option is to stuff the pain deep down inside until you explode and then goto jail for whatever you did after the aforementioned explosion.

The two most boring teams going toe to toe. Never get those hours back. Coulda been doing some type of a hobby, or interacting with others in real life, oh well.

The fact at how good we played in this game compared to the last 3 is what makes me mad. Where was this defensive effort down here against the two cryptkeepers down here in Florida? All we had to do was kill off two 6 on 5s in two different games, and we're still in 8th. Where was this effort against the Islanders? This team didn't show up for the 1st period, and spotted them two goals.

Lou: We had the opportunity to make moves but we didn't want to sell off the future. We had offers of picks (and presumably prospects) for upcoming UFA's but we like our team. Please pick a ****ing lane! Either care about the future and sell off the Clarksons and Zidlickys or try to ice a competitive team and acquire a legitimate scoring threat. Instead we get stuck in the Calgaryland of mediocrity where we can't compete with the top teams but we refuse to sell off players because we have some strange idea that we're a good team.

If you think the team is good enough, improve the weak areas at the expense of future picks/prospects. If you think that we're not a player or two away, sell some of your valuable assets and stock up on picks or prospects. I hate this in between ****.

The most "boring" team...just put up 40 shots on you...you don't do that without playing a agressive forecheck.

Open your eyes and actually watch the game and don't let the media who still think this is the 1995 Devils fool you.

What do you expect people to say after a loss around here? ''Oh yay Rask is god! We love Chara! Lets go pak the caaa somewhaaa!'' Jesus Christ. You have 1009 posts on this board, and act like you just now hopped on an internet message board for the first time in your life. Maybe this is the first time you got on an opposing teams board.

Maybe we should have used Air Force One to get Sullivan in here in time for tonight's game the way the Rangers did to get Brassard and Moore to MSG in less than six hours lol

Sullys back was obviously a concern otherwise he probably would of flew out to Boston.

Glad he passed his tests.

These last few weeks have been depressing as all hell and as crushing as this loss was, they need to use this game as a springboard. If they play like they did tonight, they're going to win games. They will absolutely win some games. This is the way they need to play. It's the blueprint. They made some mistakes but they did a good job defensively, as a team. They're lacking skill right now, but the team game was solid tonight. Real solid effort from top to bottom and they deserved better. This loss only hurts like **** because of the situation they're in.

Bottom line, they lost one point tonight and another game off the schedule. If they sulk they're done. But they shouldn't sulk after this one. They need to build off of this game.

I have been looking for a spark from this team for weeks and I think we got it tonight. I really do. I think this loss shows that they do in fact have some good hockey in them but they have to continue with this same game. This kind of play and effort will win them 8 out of 10 games against most teams. They just gotta hang in there until it turns because they'll be knocking on that door pretty damn hard if they can keep this type of play up.

HERE HERE!!! This post FTW. Someone said we will go 10-1-1 or something down the stretch and the one loss was tonight.

You saw it that was some of the best D we have played in weeks. Marty in god mode, defenders actually defending the goal!!! If this team we saw tonight shows up the rest of the way we will win games, and we can knock the Rags right out of that spot and take it for ourselves.

If he doesn't, it's going to be Marty until they get in or die. They only have one more back-to-back after this weekend and this one's pretty spaced out (Buffalo will be a third game in four night, but after that they have three games in the next TEN days). I only realistically see Moose starting the next to last weekend against Florida, if we're in a better position.

Thank you for walking me off the edge. I was this close to lighting the local animal shelter on fire, but you convinced me that the "explosion" was not worth it. Thank you again. As a token of my appreciation, I can lend you some creative ideas that involve a cliff and a pair of shoes :)

Sure it was nice to put up a lot of shots, but we still looked pretty blech

We are terrible at handling the puck up the middle so we spend most of these games playing on the outsides

Well it's time for Lou to keep the goons off the ice. Tonight was a good first step... but Kostopolous and Barch should be in the press box for the rest of the season... I hope Josefson gets called up ASAP.

I know I know he hasn't been good but he will provide some speed and hey you never know.

It wasn't perfect, but I really liked our pursuit of the puck tonight, especially on the defensive end. It was more of a team game tonight. Not as much individual play. That gives me a little hope. They're just lacking the skill to be dangerous. That's the major issue. But they carried play against one of the top teams. I can't **** on these guys tonight. No way.

I think Clarkson had like 8 shots. I could probably stop 8 shots from Clarkson right now and win the car or whatever they give you for scoring on the score-o shot thing during intermission.
