No concern here either. It's not important today. It will be in another 12-18 months.

This one and the 2018-2019 season.
Thank God I wasn't one of those "Losing faith in Shero" morons
Pretty confident Henrique or Zacha get moved for a top 4 LD now. Unless we plan to use Johansson at RW
Hall - Zajac - Palmieri
Johansson - Hischier - McLeod
Quenneville - Zacha/Rico - Speers
Looks likea pretty solid top 9. Even more so if Johansson shifts back to RW
Wow. ****ing Shero man winning back the crowd.
I just stepped away to Wawa and I came to this.

I don't see Zacha being moved unless we are getting a steal and I think MoJo will definitely be on the right

Or win every game 8-7
Well we're not quite at that point yet but it's nice to finally have a little hope here, at least up front.
For me if it isn't someone like Hanafin coming back I have zero desire to move Zacha.
Better repent quickly and get it over with.
Johansson is a very good and very versatile 2nd line LW/C. His best assets are that he is an ace at zone entry and he is excellent on the PP. His downside is that he is a bit soft and does not feature a great shot, he's more of a set-up guy.
For what Shero traded, this has to be considered a very good deal. A 2nd/3rd rounder for a second line player with two-way acumen and 50+point potential (at a reasonable salary) is a very good bargain.
My only question would be: how does this help the very undermanned NJ blueline?
My hypothetical answer would be that one of Henrique or Zacha are on the way out. The Devils are loaded with LW/Cs now (Henrique, Zacha, Hischier, Quenneville and now Johansson), and with the first LW slot belonging solely to Taylor Hall and Zajac still the first line C... well, someone's gotta go.
I see Zacha for Hanifin as a deal which would make sense for both ,sides, or perhaps Zacha for Dumba. Hischier is going nowhere of course, and I don't see Quenneville having as much trade value now as he would after a full year playing at the NHL level. So I would have to think the bait for a D is Zacha or Henrique.
Most importantly for right now, the Devils acquired a very good two-way forward at a very reasonable price.
I think the plan is to use him as a RW/Center.
So is this a possible combo?
Hall-Zajac-Palmieri
Henrique-Hischier-Johansson
Wood-Zacha-Mcleod
Quenneville-Boyle-Noesen
Third line still looks a little young to me.
