Hell of a trade by Shero.

If you were trade a player to get did, I'd trade Henrique and two picks for Hannifin. Hannifin really started to come around last year. He is a great skater, can move the puck and is still really damn young.

The forward group is looking good, it's just the defense. If a trade isn't made, I just hope Severson is able to make bigger strides, which should happen when you have more skilled forwards receiving the puck from you.
 
Looking at potential lineups, even with Rico we are very young.

With mojo this year might not be the tank season everyone was talking about:sarcasm:. Thus trading a vet might not be the best move.

the question is, do the hurricanes need a player like zacha?
 
He is really good on the PP. Very good at gaining the zone.

You have to think with the amount of forward talent we keep adding at some point the dam will break and the goals will starting coming.

This one happened relatively quickly too cause all these big deals the Caps signed in the last few days.

Does that mean we "HAVE TO" get a Dman now?

We still need RW2 and RW3

Let Hischier and McLeod battle it out for C3. Do not play Hischier at Wing. I don't want him concussed like Zacha was last year.

Quenneville is an option at LW. He played 12 games last year and didn't take 1 faceoff. Maybe he takes Wood's place.

Maybe Speers can crack the lineup as one of the RWs.
 
8pm on the sunday of a holiday weekend (well sorta :laugh:), talk about unexpected, and the deals expectedness itself goes without saying.
 
I wouldn't ship Henrique out just yet. This team wasn't really lighting the lamp last year and you can always use more goal scoring.


I really think mueller takes off this year and that was their move to shore up the defense.


If people love this trade and trust shero for making it how can you bash and question him on mueller
 
Henrique won't get a top 4 d. No way. I'd rather go to Toronto and unload our vet junk for JVR, dead contracts and a high pick.

if they don't do well this season it's alright. if they make the playoffs it means some young players took big strides which is good too. They didn't mortgage the future to acquire decent players at a desperate attempt at the playoffs which is important

One of the first thoughts that crossed my mind was that we got an unproven potentially low risk high reward guy in Mueller for a 2nd and a 4th yet we got a significant player who is well established and proven for the same but a 3rd instead of a 4th

Someone has to shift to RW or get moved. We are really crowded on the left side and that isn't even counting a few other kids surprising.

Wood, JQ, and Blender will also be looking for spots on top of the obvious guys like Zacha, Rico, Mojo, and Nico.

The only three locks are Hall, Zajac, and Palms in their respective positions.

Yeah not another option. Someone will be gone by the end of the summer. Money on Henrique but could be a few other options out there.

i think because of the fact that we traded a 2nd and a 3rd for mueller. but i mean, it's pretty crazy that the only difference between mueller and MoJo were a 3rd rd pick instead of a 4th :laugh:

i have to think our stats people must think highly of mueller. hopefully it's not a bad gamble, but if it is, this should balance it out

I think it is more likely that we trade Henrique at the trade deadline to a playoff team. May not get a D we want, but could fetch some good picks which we could then flip for a D in the offseason.
