You aren't getting D from Toronto. Besides what they have in playing the NHL and Dermott who will probably be in the NHL this year and now Liljegren, there isn't much there.

I don't think Lou would hand over a D to us (especially us) for picks when they're in win-now mode and they aren't exactly in the market for forwards atm.

Boyle and Johansson really fill out the forward group pretty nicely. It's nothing special, but if Hall shoots a higher % plus if Nico/Zacha/McLeod are better than expected, our offense could improve nicely. Maybe we can be close to league average!

ghdi pointed out in the Free Agent/Trade thread. Carolina has Staal Rask and Lindholm at C as well as Aho Skinner and Teravainen at LW. After seeing that theres I don't believe there is a match to be made

Well I guess the writing is on the wall for one of Henrique or Zacha then, we definitely didn't need more centers or left wings.

Given how versatile he is I figured Johansson was a lock for the other top 6 RW spot, but this quote suggests otherwise.

We could considerably improve our blue line by dealing Henrique & Kovalchuk.

I just don't know how we are going to get a valuable defenseman for Henrique. I'm all for moving him since I really don't believe he's all that good, but I severely doubt we are getting a top 4 defenseman for him. Maybe we can get Demers, which would be a steal. But yea another move has to be coming.

Demers for Henrique straight up makes sense for both sides and the contracts add up.

Living here, Bozak has been on the trade block for years now. It's only a matter of time of when it happens not if.

But they're not going to move Bozak and JVR in the same deal and especially not to us. They'll want D and we don't have that. Also it's usually been the fans that've wanted him gone. I can't remember legitimate rumors about him being moved in a while

Agreed, not like we're a threat to them the next couple years but if we re-sign Johansson they have to deal with him being our team for the next several.
