if that's the case there's no point interviewing him. he's prob getting sloshed and enjoying hanging out with them for the last time for a while, so he prob would be a terrible interview

Granted this organization is under different operations now than it was at the time, but when Kovalchuk was courting teams in 2010, he said in an interview after he signed here that it was nice that Lou let him go about his business while the process of him selecting a team was going on and weren't constantly hounding/checking in on him as other teams were who had made offers

Let the guy enjoy his trip/drink up in Ireland and when he's back he's got plenty of time to interview

Put ourselves in his shoes, would we constantly want people in our work industry calling and hounding us when we are able to get a way from it all for a couple of weeks?

He was a Rangers fan, but he was also born in NY. The Devils didn't exist when his dad was growing up anyway.

I can tell you I wore Devils stuff all over Ireland during my trip in 2013, and you wouldn't believe how many Irish folks recognized the logo.. Apparently a lot of Irish people come to live in New Jersey for a bit
