My cousin was a teammate of his in high school. Carlson always sends my cousin snap chats and pics of him hanging with Ovechkin.

Almost every time they talk, he slips in "hey John you should sign with the Devils."

I'd love to bring him here. I've always complained that in this era of everyone going home to play, we can't bring in any of these Jersey guys. Finally something with Palmieri.

Carlson is definitely a very good player. He even finished. 10th in Norris voting this season playing 23+ minutes and contributing 12 goals and 55 points.

That is pretty spectacular. It really was a breakout year for him.
