He can return for practice but I doubt they'd actually play him right off since he had no camp. He'll probably have to go through a number of practices first.
yeah that's true, idk how many full practices they will have next week though -- games are on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday

After the 50 saves and the shelling and scrums last night, maybe Dell or Wedgewood plays tomorrow on the island. No need for Blackwood to play both ends of that home and home, I would think.

If there's a night you can rest while still playing as a goalie it's against the Isles

I believe the 2nd and 4th lines will get changed for the next game.

Johnsson - Zacha - Kuokkanen
Gusev - McLeod - Bastian

I'd like to scratch Johnsson and give Merkley a slot. Johnsson has been a non-entity altogether, while Merkley offers a much higher hockey IQ and a lot more sandpaper. Merkley is a multi-dimensional offensive player, while Johnsson's two offensive abilities are a pretty good nose for the net and a nice shot. I woulndn't mess with that McLeod line because I think they've been great, they just haven't been able to finish yet. Let's just upgrade that Zacha/Gusev line, and I think Merkley gives them a better chance to succeed than Johnsson.

varlamov has 2 shoutouts in 2 starts this season. We cant be sitting blackwood for wedge.

I have no issues with playing competitive hockey and still losing the game this season. The Isles also have only 5 goals in 3 games with 4 of those being in 1 game. It's not like they're a threat offensively

I believe that might require us to pass Johnsson through waivers to the taxi squad, which I'd actually be fine with. I don't think any team is going to take on that contract after how he's started.

No chance I am risking that after just 3 games. It also wouldn't matter because he wouldn't be going to the taxi squad. He'd just be scratched.

Welp....that answers my earlier question.

So Bratt did get his Visa probably either late yesterday or early today and immediately took the earliest flight to the U.S. (and Newark).

I'm so f'n thrilled.

Now it's a matter of getting by this COVID Protocol and then getting some practice in.

Can't wait to see this again :
