Maybe we all take that goaltending performance by shesty.....,.for granted but make no mistake, we do not WIN that game without Shesty making the saves that he did, during the first and into early second period.

Totally. Outside of the first goal, which I don't fault him for because he clearly didn't see it, he was like a robot with his rebound control. Just locking everything down and making it look as routine as can be. Amazing game by Shesterkin.

I was very high and had a great time until the Devils scored first, then after it was tied, had a great time again.

but the Devils are our worst matchup considering those flaws. If we get by them we can go on a deep run.

We need to big brother them on Monday. PP has to be lights out

Coming into the playoffs, in the east at least, my worst matchups were the Bruins and Devils. If the Rangers can beat the Devils on Mon and the Panthers pull off the upset against the Bruins, I think a deep run is really possible.

I dont know. Lets be real.. Schmid is a no body. We made his life very easy for 3 games. He's a big boy. He was beat cleanly on a lot of shots today... that confidence can go real fast.

He may start but I'd guess he has a really short leash.

I dislike modern hockey. Yeah, Hughes is a generational talent... In 2023... In 1992 he gets flattened and spends the rest of his career at 60 points because the refs and modern rules aren't protecting him from getting steam rolled.

Don't get me wrong... I'm okay with no physicality. That's why I watch baseball and football.

in 1992 very few dmen are getting anywhere near jack hughes before hes scored. the reason why these big rugged slow dmen arent playing now is because they simply cant play quick enough to be good enough anymore.

No way Ruff goes back to Vanecek. It's 100% Schmid. Mika was naked open in the slot. Kreider was off his leg. Tarasenko has done that to a lot of other goalies. If Ruff trots Vanecek out there Monday, he's doing us a favor.

Whatever they did to Hughes tonight, they need to do again. He was not noticable at all. Miller-Trouba are trying to rough up Hischier too. I wonder what Miller was saying to him after the Trouba roughing up.
