Serious question. Is that Neil Degrasse Tyson behind them? lol
Yes. Confirmed via various other Twitter postsSerious question. Is that Neil Degrasse Tyson behind them? lol
Just by the eye test, he's skating toward the wall all the time and his body angles just reek "i'm looking pass." He's taken himself out as a threat. He won't do it unless it's on the power play or special situations where defenders are staying back playing prevent D and no defender will attack him.
Should have made adjustments after game 4. It shouldn't take 3 straight games of failure in a 7 game series to finally be like, ok we should change something.Nobody gonna give Turk props for adjusting last night? Bueeeelller.....Bueeeelllllerrrrr
Drew the penalty on the breakaway that put in motion everything after. Everyone should just view him as a complement piece who brings PO experience and guile and isolated great moments.Stats aren’t everything but Kane is third on the team in points (6) and first in shots on goal (20). Not sure what to make of his contribution so far.
It's funny he is getting more hate than usual, because I thought he look pretty good last night. Much better than where he was in the regular season.I think Kane has got a bit unlucky. That rebound chance going wide, some nice shots the goalie just getting a piece of, but he has to be far far better and “unlucky” doesn’t cut it
Panarin’s go to-move is curling towards the boards and looking for a cross-ice pass. That is supposed to be Plan B if you don’t have a path inside towards the net, but he’s making it his Plan A.Just by the eye test, he's skating toward the wall all the time and his body angles just reek "i'm looking pass." We’ll when the team has been pushed to elimination in the first round when they should be a contender I’m gonna look at the guy who was brought in to be a playoff difference makerIt's funny he is getting more hate than usual, because I thought he look pretty good last night. It’s woah oh oh - not goal.
Get it together people.
And then, there's no plan B, which makes it worse. Plan A has to happen, whether it will work or not. He disguises his passes better than most but it is impossible to pass on the forehand when your back is almost facing the middle of the icePanarin’s go to-move is curling towards the boards and looking for a cross-ice pass. Yeah I have the exact opposite view as everyone else here. I thought he was fine. He drew the penalty, showed good foot speed. He created a few chances. The 2 on 1 with Trocheck, the puck literally exploded on the ice before it got to him. He hits that empty net more often than not. It's funny he is getting more hate than usual, because I thought he look pretty good last night. Much better than where he was in the regular season.
He’s been an absolute rock, which made all the media talk about Schmid even more annoying. Can we all take a moment to appreciate how good Shesty has been in this series? a 1.79 GAA against one of the best offensive teams in the league?
I'm still waiting for Ray Ferraro to say something good about the Rangers. He’s been an absolute rock, which made all the media talk about Schmid even more annoying.
He's always passed the puck well, imo. The Zib goal was a little fortuitous. It was a slow developing play, and Kreider saw Zib at the last moment almost. Zib drifted into the slot and NJ wasn't even minding the store because honestly no one really goes there.I didn’t even realize the 2nd and 3rd goals were perfect feeds from Kreider. What a beautiful beast!
I really, really hope they do go back to Vanacek tomorrow lol. No way I can see it happening. He was terrible in games 1 and 2 and Schmid shut us down in games 3-5.I have a very strong feeling that the Devils will go back to Vanacek tomorrow night. The reason why I feel that way..... because they pulled Schmid out last night so that they could get Vanacek some playing time. You better believe they're going to go with the guy that's just a little bit more proven then Schmid.
Going back to Vanecek would be negligent and fireable by Ruff. Definitely not counting on that.I really, really hope they do go back to Vanacek tomorrow lol. No way I can see it happening. He was terrible in games 1 and 2 and Schmid shut us down in games 3-5.
I guess I missed the games in this series that zib and trocheck haven't dressed for bc of injury?
Not comparable at all.
Doesn't even need Tarasenko's shot. Just cut to the middle and shoot low. The time he spends moving laterally allows the other forwards to drive their lanes and be in position for a (likely) rebound. It seems like the same thing when he tries to enter the zone. They just cut off his path along the boards and that's it. I know it's a bit more risky but maybe he should try cutting across into the middle of the ice? Testing their goalies glove hand with a quick shot like Tarasenko did. I know he doesn't have Tarasenko's wrist shot but still.
