New lines at todays #NYR practice:

Kreider - Zib - Tarasenko
Laf - Trocheck - Kane
Panarin - Chytil - Kakko
Vesey - Goodrow - Motte

Panarin off to the third line.
Vesey and Kakko should have been moved up, imo.

Just....meh on these lines.

Devils looked like last year's Lightning out there. You never ever know, Rangers could pull it off, but it *feels* like the series was over when Hughes tied the game in game 3. We should have been up 3 nothing at that point in the game, and you just don't get those opportunities back against a better team.

Jesus Christ at the lines today

On one hand, mixing and matching the lines to try to match those players that actually can play with a bit of grit and jam with those that can't may actually add to some differentiation in how we attack the Devils.

On the other hand, doing it this late feels incredibly desperate, overdue, and probably not fleshed out enough to be successful. These guys likely won't gel in a day.

Honestly, with the Rangers penchant for going 7 games, I think we win Saturday only to lose in a blowout game 7
Or maybe we lose Saturday and win game 7. Rangers rule of having to play all 7 games. I'm just following the rule.

Yeah, last night my wife just turns to me and is like "why do you do this to yourself?"

Being a fan is supposed to be fun but these last three games have been the antithesis of fun. It's one thing to lose tight games when you're playing well and it's back and forth - it's another for the team to just look feeble and gutless for 3 straight games while getting progressively worse. Only sport I care about and the only team I care about. It's masochism at this point.

Then to see the post-game locker room interviews (Gallant gets a pass from me because he literally just publicly ripped the team post game of game 4, he can't really go back to that well again) and look at these players just shrug their shoulders. I know keeping a level head is important but there could be SOME fire and passion. Instead Fox sounds like he's on xanax, Kreider's head is so far up his own ass he has shit on his goatee and Trouba is just shoulders shrugging oh well about everything. A little passion or acknowledgement of this shit would be nice.

I desperately want them to win on Saturday night but if we see another performance like this I really hope they get booed off the ice.

I honestly turned the game off after they went down 3-0. Started watching Roger Goodell read names off a piece of paper because that's more entertaining than NY Rangers hockey these days.

K'Andre Miller is such a softie. Spits on Doughty accidently (which, come on - it's Drew Doughty - who gives a shit), and is in his head about it for months now. Can't handle a pass, completely forgot that he can rush the puck up the ice, softy after the whistle. For a guy with his athleticism and talent, this is beyond disappointing.

Mixing the lines up. Fine. But is GG able to motivate the squad? Is he capable of making a speech of some sort that will pump everyone up. Just changing the lines without addressing the issues in our system and motivation of the squad will do nothing. I have lost all faith in our coach. Hope he proves me wrong.

In some world, you might see how Panarin-Chytil-Kakko could be awesome. In reality, it will be Chytil and Kakko force feeding the play to Panarin instead of creating themselves.

Exactly this. Force feeding Bread has been hammered into them so hard by now that even if they want to not do it they will by reflex.

But let's hope this line miraculously slips into that other world where it functions.

They probably should have tried this before game 5, when we had an extra day of practice and two games to figure it out
They had a nice (league mandated) day off in the middle there.

I'm amazed everyone made it to practice today. Wonder if it took them longer to do their hair today than the actual practice took though.
